In the run up to Valentine's Day, American Vogue have decided to team up with Patrick Demarchelieragain on a shoot featuring some of the biggest models of the moment posing with their other halves.
In the February 2009 issue the magazine opted for Doutzen Kroes, Julia Stegner, Caroline Trentini, Arlenis Sosa and Chanel Iman but for the latest issue they decided to shake up the line-up.
Having just stepped foot off the plane from her best friend's wedding in France, Behati Prinsloo just couldn't keep quiet about the private matrimony of Coco Rocha and James Conran even though she had only had four hours of sleep." It was unbelievable,” Behati told Modelinia magazine at a Victoria’s Secret event in Chicago. “When I saw her, I wanted to cry. I still can’t stop thinking about how beautiful the wedding was.”
Of course, the wedding dress designed by Zac Posen was one of the first things that Prinsloo gushed about, explaining that the look of Coco’s wedding dress, was "tight over her body all the way to her knees, then it had this extreme mermaid tail at the bottom. The straps were off the shoulder, and the material looked vintage - it’s sort of hard to explain, you have to see it.”
Only 50 of the newly-wed couple's friends and family attended the ceremony which took place at the same castle in France, where Conran first proposed. We await pictures of the affair to surface soon but in the meantime, congratulations to the happy couple.
When Coco Rocha marries interior designer James Conran on June 9, she'll have her ceremony in a fairly romantic location. Giving the details to ELLE Canada, she said: "He took me to a beautiful castle in France and he proposed there. We’re actually going to be married there as well." Not bad. And with only 60 guests invited, the setting should be especially intimate.
With plans to launch her Rococo fashion line at the year's end, Rocha has plenty on her plate, even without a wedding to consider. Thankfully, Zac Posen has offered his advice on wedding designs - and the Canadian supermodel has confirmed to the magazine that she'll be wearing one of his dresses for her big day. We're sure the bride-to-be will look, well, exactly like a princess in her castle.
As if being blessed with the beauty and mile long legs of a successful model wasn't enough, the fairytale that is Coco Rocha's life story continues as details of her blissful engagement to interior designer James Conran emerge. Already, the date is set for a not-so-far-away 9th of June, and so the Canadian model/presenter/designer doesn't have long to get things organised. Good job then, that her designer of choice for the all important gown is already whipping up sketches.
"Mr Zac Posen is the best!" Rocha tweeted yesterday. "I met with him to discuss wedding dress designs and immediately the sketches were flying... So exciting!" she continued. The pair have kept a friendship ever since Coco modelled for Posen's collection both on the runway and in his campaigns, and even attended the New Yorker's for Children dinner dance together. With not long left until the big day, Posen best get sewing, we can't wait to see the final gown.
Despite only announcing her engagement last week, Coco Rocha is set to wed James Conran as soon as June.
According to sources, the details of the wedding are all set in stone, including the dress. “I know exactly what’s it going to look like and who’s making it, but it hasn’t actually been produced yet,” she told the Daily backstage at Dior.
And fashion week isn't the only reason why the model is in Paris. “We’re getting married right here in France,” she revealed."A friend has this beautiful house here so we’ll bring everyone here!”
