Last year Harrods was given a Chanel make-over as the brand created an exclusive exhibtion showcasing their key pieces and last week they went even further by playing host to an eight-day excursion to Las Vegas where they held an invite-only installation.
In true Chanel form, the event was a big one. According to WWD the brand chartered private planes coming from across America to transport editors, celebrities and socialities to the weekend's festivities and secured Alexa Chung and Nick Cohen to DJ at the party. Guests on the night include Jessica Alba, Rachel Zoe, China Chow and brand favourites like Poppy Delevigne, Jen Brill and Diane Kruger.
There's something really special about Jen Brill. Aside from her enviable collection of Chanel (she's an ambassador for the brand), she knows how to put a look together but in carefree, non-try hard kind of way. The Total Management New York agent is much loved by street style photographers who are charmed by her effortless downtown style and of course, her signature red lips. Whether she's wearing an off-the-runway Proenza Schouler look or a simple tee with cropped shorts, it always works.
Karl Lagerfeld knows how to throw a party. Those who were lucky enough to be invited filled out the La Goulue restaurant on Tuesday evening, when Karl Lagerfeld announced the new ambassadors for his beauty program. The girls in question? Jen Brill, Poppy Delevigne, Vanessa Traina, Leigh Lezarkand Caroline Sieber.
After the success of the evening, the owners quickly changed their mind and decided not to close it down as they had planned to. The lesson here? Don't underestimate the power of Uncle Karl.
COACD's Douglas Perrett cast the Boy Boy music video, which also includes cameos from Jen Brill and Chrissie Miller. We knew there was a reason we loved the man.
