Rate or Slate: Kristen Bell In Jenny Packham At The 'Hit And Run' Premiere

I have a serious soft spot for Kristen Bell. Quietly she always gets it right on the red carpet so sadly doesn't always get the credit that she deserves.

Earlier on this week she continued the current penchant for jumpsuits on the red carpet that we've seen this year by opting for this classic black jumpsuit from Jenny Packham Fall 2012 to attend the premiere of 'Hit and Run'. The black looks incredibly chic, the style perfectly elongates her tiny 5ft1 frame and the subtle earrings helps kep it nice and clean.

Jenny Packham S/S12: Lace Details, 1920's Inspired Beaded Gowns And Coloured Embroidery

Image via Style.com

There's a very thin line between romanticism and going cutesy and Jenny Packham always manages to get it just right and trust me, it's not an easy feat. Many-a-designer have got that balancing act horribly wrong.

The collection opened with a white dress with crystal detail along the neckline and a cinched in waist, which set the tone for the show. Later looks continued the delicate feeling like a series of sheer beaded dresses revealing feminine lingerie underneath, tapping into the visible underwear trend that we saw a few seasons ago, minus the femme fatale connotations, of course.

Lace also featured throughout the collection on mini dresses, thigh grazing shorts and along the shoulders of sheer white blouses. This seasons' bright colours like blue, yellow and coral came appeared on a cascade of flowers embroidered on sleeveless tops and the strength of the collection lay in the series of 20's inspired beaded sheer gowns, particularly in a drop waist style.

It's All Shine For Fall At Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham can do no wrong when it comes to celebrity dressing. For Fall, Packham proved exactly why she's secured such a strong celebrity following from everyone from Sandra Bullock to Eva Longoria.

Turning up the glamour this season, Packham said that she was inspired by a Marlene Dietrich quote. "Men cluster to me, like moths to a flame, and if their wings burn, I know I'm not to blame," her show notes read. This transpired on strong metallic dresses in gold or a soft grey, covered in sequin. Dresses were often floorlength coming in sheer chiffon and tulle but Packham also presented a shorter aysmmetric dress in nude.

Jenny Packham Returns To New York And We're Grateful

London Fashion Week transplant Jenny Packham had a clear story for her Spring '11 show this week. "I loved the idea of a girl getting dressed for her first ball, and the thought of debutantes in the 40s," she told the Telegraph. If that brings to mind vintage styles, chiffon and an ethereal ease, then Packham's show was right on point.

The designer, whose fans include Jessica Biel and Cameron Diaz, relied on a dusky palette of peach and blue to carry her collection. She explored cleavage and low-back styles (no one said a ball had to go without scandal), but the textiles stood out more than the silhouettes. A De Gournay hand-painted silk organza gown could take us - and any girl - anywhere.

EJF Launches Surprise Designer T-Shirt Pop-Up Shop

The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) has recently announced the launch of its new pop-up shop in central London. The UK-based charity is known for its work in empowering individuals who "suffer most from environmental abuses, (such as forced child labour and environmental abuses in cotton production), to find peaceful ways of preventing them."

With this in mind, the charity once again has returned to their temporary home in Kingly Court, off Carnaby Street, but this time are stocking up-to-the-minute sample (pre-season) men's and women's T-shirts and 100 Eley Kishimoto designed eco-friendly shopper bags at £10 each, (which were also seen on the front row at LFW earlier in September), for a limited period only. The t-shirts feature art from a number of designers, including cream-of-the-crop of British designers such as Luella, Giles Deacon, Betty Jackson, Zandra Rhodes, Alice Temperley, Katherine Hamnett, Jenny Packham, Richard Nicoll and Ciel. T-shirts can be bought separately, but savvy shoppers can invest in two t-shirts and get a free EK shopper.

With the likes of Lily Cole, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Ashley Jensen and Nic Hoult, amongst over 50 others, having been spotted sporting the organic Continental cotton t-shirts, it is likely they'll be an instant hit. More to the point, as there is only a limited amount on stock available, the T-shirts will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis so you would be wise to head over to White Gold, 1st Floor Kingly Court, London, W1B as quickly as your 5-inch heels can get you there. And as Christmas is round the corner, it would seem that there is no better time to do your bit for charity, whilst snapping up some presents your friends and family will definitely not want to take back after the festive period.
