Quote Me: FYI, Karl Lagerfeld Isn't A Fan Of Tattoos

I think tattoos are horrible. It’s like living in a Pucci dress full-time. If you’re young and tight, maybe it’s OK, but…

Blake Lively Got Married To Ryan Reynolds Last Night, No Word On Who Designed Her Dress

New York Fashion Week is officially in full swing. During fashion month it's easy to forget that there is life outside the shows but just like fashion, Hollywood doesn't stop and this morning we're all waking up to a big story. According to People magazine, fashion favourite Blake Lively tied the knot with Ryan Reynolds in a secret wedding over the weekend.

A source confirmed to the title that the couple got married last night just outside of Charleston. According to the source, Florence Welch, who Lively met on the set of 'Gossip Girl', performed three songs at the event. As yet there's still no word about who designed her wedding dress but it's pretty safe to say that it's either Frida Giannini at Gucci or Karl Lagerfeld.

Get Ready To Embrace The Embellished Collar

Elizabeth Olsen in a Marni collar at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon

Collars have always been seen as saying a lot about you. Think white collars for professionals and blue collars for workers and you'll see where I'm going. Decorative collars on the other hand say less about your professional standing and more about your sartorial one and this season it's all about embellishment.

Following on from the love of all things elaborate that has slowly gained pace after the minimalist days, the A/W12 shows were decorative and the accessories even more so. Thanks to the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Marni, the statement collar isn't going anywhere and the offerings are really good. Consuelo Castiglioni nailed it again this season at Marni creating neoprene styles in black, white and red colourways with resin broaches and geometrical applications. If the Marni price point is out of reach, don't worry because the styles will no doubt be making their way to the high street very soon.

Quote Me: Laetitia Casta Was Scared She'd Kill Choupette In That V Shoot

So we are shooting on this balcony in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and I was so f*****g scared that Choupette would step back and fall off and that Karl would hate me forever because I killed his cat.

Check Out The Latest Installment From Karl By Karl Lagerfeld

When Karl Largerfeld launched his lower priced range, Karl by Karl Lagerfeld, back in January with Net-A-Porter, the launch was big and the collection sold out instantly. Today the second installment of the range dropped and while it hasn't come with the same fanfare, the collection is equally as good.

Like the first offerings, the latest range is a feminine take on his signature style so expect updated versions of his collars along with black tuxedo jackets, studded leather gloves and a bit of camouflage thrown in for good measure. Prices aren't exactly cheap, with collars starting at £80 and the leather jackets priced at £790 but while that it's true, you'll be hard pressed to find anything else designed by him with prices that low.

See my picks from the collection in the gallery.

Chanel's Little Black Jacket Exhibition Is Finally Coming To London

Sofia Coppola by Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld has taken Chanel's 'The Little Black Jacket' exhibition to Tokyo, New York, Taipei and Hong Kong and now it's finally coming to London. Yesterday Vogue UK confirmed that the installation is set to arrive at London's Saatchi Gallery in October.

Just in case you unfamiliar with it, the exhibition includes images taken for a book the brand will launch later this year baring the same name. Stars like Kanye West and Sarah Jessica Parker to Anna Wntour and Carine Roitfeld posed in their signature black jacket to illustrate the timeless quality of the iconic piece and its ability to transcend generations and styles. 'The special event underlines the brand's values of creativity, modernity and excellence,' says a statement from Chanel. 'The public will discover the versatility and timelessness of the iconic Chanel jacket through Karl Lagerfeld's photographs.'

And that's not all. To mark the opening of the exhibition, the Chanel stores on Brompton Cross, Bond Street and Sloane Street will all have their windows dedicated to jackets from the most recent collections.

The exhibition will run from October 12 to October 29, 2012.

Choupette Lagerfeld's V Magazine Spread With Laetitia Casta Is Out

I'm sure I was just about the only person that wasn't balled over about Choupette Lagerfeld's appearance in the latest issue of i-D magazine but her V magazine spread alongside Laetitia Casta more than makes up for it.

While she does look pretty scared in several of the Karl Lagerfeld-lensed shots, I still love it all the same and according to Casta, Choupette was the perfect co-star. 'She is an unusually beautiful cat, and it was a lovely experience,' she told the title.

Dior Show That Celebrities Wearing Couture Can Be A Good Thing

Jessica Biel at the L.A. premiere of 'Total Recall'

In a recent piece for the New York Times, Cathy Horyn spoke to Karl Lagerfeld about dressing celebrities in the couture collections. As you'll recall, he made the interesting point that couture 'is not a red-carpet opportunity' and in some cases results in 'clients cancel[ing] an order after seeing their dress on a celebrity.' So with that being said, it's interesting to watch which celebrities Dior have allowed to wear Raf Simons' couture debut on the red carpet.

The latest star to get the opportunity is Jessica Biel, who follows in the footsteps of Marion Cotillard and Rachel Weisz, and the choice is interesting. All three women are major A-listers, which was no doubt was a deliberate step by the brand to avoid the types of problem Lagerfeld noted in the article.

And it's exciting. After the whole John Galliano you were hard pressed to find an A-lister wearing the ready-to-wear collection let alone couture collection on the red carpet besides their spokeswomen like Charlize Theron and Mila Kunis, so it's good to see the brand dominate and absolutely nail it on the red carpet again. And something telling me that after seeing all three actresses wear pieces from the collection, those women with pockets deep enough to pay those heavy prices will be lining up to buy them.

Quote Me: Karl Lagerfeld On Victoria Beckham, Her Designs And Son Romeo

I know her from her days as a Spice Girl. Her designs are not bad at all, they’re good. She’s totally unpretentious. She brought one of her sons with her [on the shoot] and he was the sweetest boy, because often children of celebrities aren’t pleasant. This boy was perfection…I know children of celebrities and I can tell you, you can keep them at home.

Quote Me: Karl Lagerfeld On Choupette's New-Found Fame

She’s like a huge powderpuff with blue eyes. People are stunned by her! I’ve done stories about her with Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine with Laticia Casta and for W Magazine. I think it’s fun. Soon people will talk more about Choupette than about me!
