I have a serious soft spot for Kristen Bell. Quietly she always gets it right on the red carpet so sadly doesn't always get the credit that she deserves.
Earlier on this week she continued the current penchant for jumpsuits on the red carpet that we've seen this year by opting for this classic black jumpsuit from Jenny Packham Fall 2012 to attend the premiere of 'Hit and Run'. The black looks incredibly chic, the style perfectly elongates her tiny 5ft1 frame and the subtle earrings helps kep it nice and clean.
Kristen Bell was all smiles yesterday at the screening of her new project "Hou$e of Lie$" in L.A but her outfit has gone down too well with the critics.
Nicole Richie isn't the only designer expanding into the world of fragrances. Last weekTory Burch announced that her company is expanding as she sets to launch a line of scents. The New York based designer - who wardrobes everyone from Kristen Bell to Kanye West - is partnering up with Aramis Designer Fragrances, a division of Esteé Lauder Companies, to develop the line.
"Fragrance is a natural extension of our brand -- we will create unique fragrances that complement a woman's innate beauty," Burch explained in a statement. "Fragrance is a part of my daily routine, and it evokes strong memories of my mother and grandmother. I still remember their favorite scents."
Last night Katy Perry hosted the 2010 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Inspired by Twilight, who bagged 12 awards on the night, Perry went all Vampire-esqe donning a black leather dress, dark lips and a long black wig. Amongst the singer's six outfit changes was a prom queen look.
Tracy Reese isn't trying to be Alexander Wang - as in, she doesn't expect editors waiting on-edge to see new turn she'll take next. Instead, like plenty of other economically aware designers, she's basing her style on what customers want. That, for now, includes more of her signature short, ruched dresses (in cheetah print, black and army green, for instance), plus textured layers we wish we had today for the second round of New York snowstorms.
Reese girls - such as Julia Stiles, Kristen Bell, Adrienne Bailon and Erin Lucas, who all sat front-row - can keep warm in cosy cardigans (think cable knit or fur-sleeved), fringed jackets, stirrup pants and ample scarves. Mixing textures was key. Reese rolled out a sweet "spruce" lace dress to match her floral runway background, and she added interest to other pieces with real and faux fur, jacquard styles and crystal embellishment. Some might say safe about this collection, but we're going with another 'S' word: salable.
