Giuseppe Zanotti, the shoe maker to the stars, was awarded the title of Shoewear Designer Of The Year by Footwear News, the sister publication to online fashion bible, WWD. The designer, whose career spans over two decades, fought off stiff competition to walk off with the award.

Having now joined the ranks of Manolo Blahnik, who has also received the award in past, Zanotti and his legions of celebrity fans such as Blake Lively, Kylie Minogue, Beyonce and Rihanna, amongst others, will be ecstatic at the thought that his sculpted, awe-inspiring, embellished and embroidered artwork-esque designs are worthy of the accolade.

Manchester-born William Baker is the man responsible for styling fashion icon Kylie Minogue, having become her stylist and Creative Director soon after meeting her back in ‘94. Nowadays, Baker is focusing his attention on London Fashion Week, where Westfield London has invited the Creative Director to select his personal favourite trends from the A/W 09/10 collections for a fashion show at the centre.

“I'm thrilled to be creating my first ever show, of my favourite pieces from this season at Westfield London. I love London and especially shopping in London," Baker said in an interview with Vogue.com. "I'm not sure how they've done it but the fashion content at Westfield is second to none. I also think Westfield offers a really refreshing family day out; it's a bit nostalgic in that respect.”

Jean Paul Gaultier's fall '09 couture show set out as a nod to Brigitte Bardot, and though we're not sure how that led to crocodile overalls worn with a fur coat, we love to see Magdalena Frackowiak done up old-Hollywood and, recession be damned, any excuse for feathers is good. Gaultier's pantsuits and corset work provided some of the strongest points, and we hope Sonia Rykiel and (?!) Mickey Rourke agreed from their front-row seats.

Kylie Minogue was another guest put in prime seating, and she showed up to scope out costumes for her next tour. When she plays America starting in October, can we expect to see her wearing a black veil as well as Karlie Kloss?

Amanda Seyfried, Katy Perry

Katy Perry and Kylie Minogue took home top honours at this week's Glamour Women of the Year Awards, hosted at Berkeley Square Gardens and boasting a moderately out-there red carpet line up. Perry was named Newcomer of the Year at the Ceremony, while Kylie was dubbed both Entrepreneur and Woman of the Year.

But on to the clothes. Kylie's shrug is up for debate, and we think we've seen that colour combo on Henry and Pixie before. Whose look do you like best?
