When it comes to a make-up artist-model collaboration, it doesn't get much better (or bigger) than Pat McGrath and Jessica Stam. This week Cover Girl - to which McGrath serves as Global Creative Design Director - announced that the pair are working on a series of 'how-to-videos' and the first shoot took place this week.

The make-up tutorial idea isn't a new one. Just type those words into YouTube and you'll find a long stream of wannabe make-up artists demonstrating how to achieve celebrity make-up looks. The most famous of the bunch is Lauren Luke whose YouTube page has experienced a whopping 113 million views and helped her secure a regular stint on British morning show, 'This Morning'. What Cover Girl's latest project has that Luke doesn't is McGrath. She's responsible for the most memorable make-up looks in the world for brands like Dior so if there's anyone that you want to get make-up tips from, it's her.

Landing a make-up line was not what Lauren Luke had in mind when she started up her own YouTube channel two years ago. But that is exactly what the single mum has landed after attracting over 39 million views to her channel of make-up tutorials.

Although not the first to try this out, Luke has overtaken her competitors. Why? Her tutorials provide an easy step-by-step guide to acheive the looks of celebrities like Leona Lewis, Rihanna and Amy Winehouse. She manages to mix simple steps in an approachable relaxed way with humour and wit.
