First Look: H&M's Fall 2012 Look Book

As high street retailers go, H&M is definitely among my favourite and it's not hard to understand why after looking through their fall 2012 look book. All of the key trends that we saw on the runway for fall are there but of course, are available at a fraction of the price.

A leather-like baseball cap and jacket combo is the perfect ode to the sports wear theme that has dominated over the past few seasons and the look book also features a pari of high wasted shorts that are reminiscent of the style we saw at Balenciaga. If you loved the digital prints, peplums and up scaled proportions too, then you're well and truly catered for.

Enjoy!

H&M Under Fire Over Marni For H&M Look Book Images

The collection was a huge success when it hit stores last week but the Marni for H&M look book has been brought under fire over this image of model Aymeline Valade. Critics have spoken out about the image saying that the 26 year-old looks 'ready to collapse' and according to GP Julian Spinks, Valade 'looks very unwell, almost corpse-like' and argued that the retailer had been behaved irresponsibly in publishing the image especially since they appeal to a young customer.

'My 15-year-old loves to shop at H&M and I always feel the experience is a bit of fun for her and her friends, especially when big designers collaborate making expensive labels more affordable,' a mother told the Daily Mail. 'But after seeing the disturbingly thin girl used to model the Marni collection, I would think twice about encouraging her to go there. What kind of standards are they setting to teenagers when they say it's attractive to look that gaunt? 'It's bad enough with fashion magazines pushing an unhealthy and unrealistic image of beauty. I would have expected more from H&M.'

New In: The Full Marni For H&M Look Book

You've seen the campaign, the video and the launch party and now we bring you the full look book for the Marni for H&M collection. While the retailer's designer collaborations have always been good, this collection more so than the others would not have looked out of place in a mainline collection but of course, without the price tag. Prices range from $19.95 for accessories to $129 for a coat.

Pixie Geldof Stars In Giles' Pre-Collection Look Book

Our favourite Geldof sister has been a busy lady. It's not all drunken partying for the 18-year-old. After attending Vitamin Water's winnebago at Glastonbury this weekend, the model quickly returned to London to get back to work. Well, that's if you would actually call playing dress up with Katie Grand working? Pixie was being styled by Grand for Giles Deacon's pre-collection look book.

I have a feeling we will see a lot more of her come fashion week......
