Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld And Giorgio Armani Collaborate To Present Richard Hambleton

Having already shown in New York, Milan and Cannes, it's finally our turn to see what Richard Hambleton has to offer. From November 19th, 45 pieces of the elusive designer's work, 25 of which has never been seen, will be exhbited in a pop-up gallery in London's Dairy.

The showcase is curated by Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld and Andy Valmorbida in collaboration with Giorgio Armani and is not the first time they have all worked together on this project. Last September, the exhibition took place in New York and with everyone from Mary J Blige to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in attendance.

"Richard Hambleton’s brush stroke as an artist is genius and is in a league of its own," Restoin-Roitfeld and Valmobida said. "Most significantly, he is the most important and influential living street artist in the world today, with a story and career that is unparalleled. It is also a privilege for us to collaborate again with Giorgio Armani and we’re pleased to present it in such a prestigious space."

Last month saw Restoin-Roitfeld also curate a sell-out exhibition for painter Nicolas Pol. At the event he made it clear that we can expect him to continue to work closely with Giorgio Armani. "I don’t see why it is so bad for an artist to do something with such a credible person as Mr. Armani," he said. "I don’t see how it hurts the artist to do suddenly a huge show in Milan and New York with Armani, which had thousands of people coming and was all over the press. If the art is good and this element doesn’t take too much away from the creative side, then it doesn’t hurt." And Armani is pleased to continue working with the designer saying that he "stands as a reminder that art in all its forms is first and foremost driven by individual passion and creativity”

The exhibition will be open from November 19th - December 3rd at Dairy at 7 Wakefield St in London

Gucci + Mary J Blige For Charity

What do you get when you combine a women's charity, a well loved R&B singer and a high-end fashion brand? The Gucci for FFAWN Twirl watch, of course.

Gucci's Frida Giannini has designed a limited-edition timepiece to benefit Mary J Blige's Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, and as WWD points out, there's plenty of bling to go around. The $1,895 watch features a monochrome dial and rotating case of black diamonds, and choosy accessory-lovers can spin the watch in on itself to go from bracelet to watch in a snap.

Blige, a major Gucci fan, founded her charity with marketing guru Steve Stoute to benefit underprivileged women build their confidence. To help with the singer's cause, Gucci will donate a percentage of its daily Twirl sales at select stores to FFAWN on Sept. 16. Need something new for your wrist, people?

Victoria Beckham Invited For Second 'American Idol' Auditions

The world of music is set to brace itself as Victoria Beckham adds another string to her bow by agreeing to sit as a judge on the panel for American Idol.

The former Spice Girl, mother, wife, designer and muse, has recently added the role of panel judge to her ever expanding repertoire, having been invited by Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller, to sit as a guest judge for the popular TV show. The singer is rumoured to be replacing Paula Abdul who famously quit last month following a dispute over pay, and is said to have taken time out from designing to make a one off appearance on the show.

Having accepted the role in a bid to raise her profile stateside, Victoria will act as one of a host of other celebrities including Mary J Blige and Katy Perry, who will also be doing one off stints on the judging panel but as yet, is the only celebrity judge to have been invited to two sets of auditions.

Rumours are rife that as was the case with Cheryl Cole last month, studio execs will be putting in place focus groups to determine whether or not Victoria's accent and tiny frame will be off putting to viewers and thus detrimental to her future as a panel judge on the show or whether they will warm to her and result in high viewing ratings though only time will tell.

For now however, Victoria will hopefully be enjoying and revelling in the warm welcome she has so far received.
