Just when you thought H&M couldn't get any better, they go and surprise us (again). The high street retailer who has been responsible for bringing the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Matthew Williamson to the high street at affordable prices, have got another designer collaboration in the pipeline.
This morning they announced that they are set to collaborate with French icon, Sonia Rykiel. An exclusive range of lingerie and accessories from the brand will be released in 1,500 H&M stores worldwide on the 5th December and will also be available in leading Sonia Rykiel boutiques. If that wasn't special enough, the collaboration marks the first time the high street chain has incorporated lingerie into a collaboration.
This month, the Matthew Williamson team invited all of the big websites and online journalists into their head office to talk about everything from the brand's move to London for Fashion Week next month, as well as how the credit crunch has affected his design process. The event was in aid of the launch of the Matthew Williamson online store.
Everyone flocked to get buy pieces from the Matthew Williamsonfor H&M line. It wasn't just us mere mortals that fell in love with the diffusion line. Celebrities were quick to step out in the key pieces from the collection like this peacock shift.
Katy Perry added a bit of her kooky style to the dress by teaming it with a lip shaped clutch, whereas Nicky Hilton decided to go bare legged and opted for an oversized clutch.
We've all seen the pictures and queues as fans waited outside the H&M store in Regent Street and in New York for the launch of Matthew Williamson's H&M diffusion line. Now we can bring you exclusive pictures from the designer's launch party in London last week.
A few weeks ago we gave you a sneak peak of the new Matthew Williamson for H&M collection but now we have some behind-the-scene pictures from the campaign shoot. One of our favourite models, Daria Werbowy joined Williamson in Mexico to shoot the camapign, that will appear in the next few weeks
