It's Finally Here: Lady Gaga For US Vogue September 2012

US Vogue are always the last to reveal their September issue but last night it finally arrived. Lady Gaga appears styled by Grace Coddington and shot by Mert & Marcus wearing a dress from Marc Jacobs' Fall 2012 collection.

The singer was the natural choice for the magazine. Her March 2011 cover of the magazine was one of their best selling issues of the year and of course, her Monsters will be out in droves picking it up on August 14 when it hits newsstands. I'm still undecided about how I feel about it but what I do know is that it doesn't excitement quite in the same way as Gwen Stefani's Harper's cover did but who knows, it might one of those ones that grows on you.

Alessandra Ambrosio Does The Obvious And Poses Naked And Pregnant

Ever since a pregnant Demi Moore posed naked for Vanity Fair back in 1999, it's become a trend. Nowadays it's difficult to come a celebrity not willing to show off their baby bump for a magazine. Only last month Jessica Simpson striped down on the cover of US ELLE to show of her baby bump and now Alessandra Ambrosio is the latest person to follow suit.

Unlike the others, though, Ambrosio's Mert and Marcus-shot image wasn't for magazine, but for a jewelry campaign. Aside from the prevalence of the trend, Ambrosio's decision to bare all for the campaign doesn't come as surprise. As you'll remember, she recently showed off her bump on the runway and posed in a Spanish magazine with her bump on display.

The Full Rooney Mara Vogue Cover Shoot And Snippets From The Interview

Last week Fashin released a blurry preview of Rooney Mara's cover of US Vogue's November issue and today, Vogue.com released the official cover alongside the full interview and the accompanying editorial. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, the editorial is hauntingly beautiful marking yet another strong cover story for the magazine this year and the interview is just as good.

Mara on the explicit version of the movie's poster showing off her pierced nipple:

“There’s a certain way people are used to seeing nude women, and that’s in a submissive, coy pose, not looking at the camera,” Mara says. “And in this poster, I’m looking dead into the camera with no expression on my face.” She smiles and flicks a cigarette into the street. “I think it freaks a lot of people out.”

Jonathan Van Meter on Mara's relationship with director David Fincher:

She hangs on his every word, her eyes lit with admiration. Their relationship, it quickly becomes clear, is charged with the electric current of the mentor-protégée crush, which is both touching and occasionally uncomfortable to watch. Or, as Daniel Craig, who costars as a crusading journalist named Mikael Blomkvist, says about their working relationship, “It’s fucking weird!”

Emmanuelle Alt Tells Us What We Can Expect For The Future Of Vogue Paris

Since Emmanuelle Alt was appointed editor of Vogue Paris, we've all been wondering what direction that magazine will taker under her direction. During the couture shows, she told Hilary Alexander that the magazine will be "the same but different", while back in January, Fabien Baron (Vogue Paris' creative director until just two years ago) predicted that the publication will become more commercial and accessible than under Carine Roitfeld's reign.

The editor recently revealed more on her plans to Vogue's Mark Holgate. “I want to keep the quality, the photographers we work with — David [Sims], Mert and Marcus, Mario [Testino], and Bruce Weber," she explained. "I don’t think there should be radical changes. The magazine should still be chic and sophisticated. It’s a bit like buying an apartment: Before you move in, you have all these plans of what you are going to do, but then you get there, and you realize it is better to spend time living in it, and transforming it over time. I’d like there to be more beauty trends; there was so much of that in Vogue back in the eighties. More French girls, more French lifestyle. And I am going to keep shooting for the magazine — hopefully a story every issue."
