In February of this year it was announced that Lorenzo Martonewould be starting a swimsuit range with Jules Kim, jewelry designer for Bijules. Despite the fact that Martone is from the exotic Brazil, the inspiration for the collection came from New York, specifically Manhattan.
Prices for the swimsuits range from $120-$130 whilst cover-ups go up to around $210. The name of the line "Nycked" which notably has "NYC" is pronounced "Nicked" and is said to be a reflection of New York style. The line will be shown at Miami Swim Fashion Week in July where the designers hope that exclusive stores such as Saks and Neiman Marcus will be interested in investing in the collection.
