With September around the corner, just about all of the major September issues have already dropped but Interview magazine's all-important issue was the only one we hadn't seen. That all changed yesterday when they unveiled the cover for the first time with Emma Stone as the star of choice.
The actress, who was shot by Mikael Jansson and styled by Karl Templer, sports one of the statement necklaces from Chanel's Fall 2012 collection in what is definitely her edgiest cover to date. Her most recent shoots have steered within the safe and familiar feminine kooky territory so it was nice to see the team shake things up and style her in strong, bold, masculine pieces.
Salvatore Ferragamo have a thing for supermodels. For their S/S12 ad campaign they booked Forbes' richest supermodel Gisele Bündchen and for their latest ads, they've opted for Forbes' number two, Kate Moss.
The campaign, shot in Berlin's Russian embassy by Mikael Jansson also stars Karmen Pedaru, who is currently fronting the Fall 2012 Gucci campaign, and Sean O'Pry. According to a release, the campaign is supposed to show 'a role-play between Kate Moss' unmistakable femininity, Karmen Pedaru's reserved beauty and Sean O'Pry's striking appeal, amidst a geometrical play of mirrors and fabrics that recreates the environ of a fairy tale place.'
For years French Vogue had always been my favourite magazine in so far as their fashion editorials were concerned but with the change in direction towards a more commercial vision under Emmanuelle Alt, Interview has filled the void.
Not too long ago they released that incredibly stand out mental asylum story starring Crystal Renn and Karolina Kurkova and now they've done it again with their cover story with 'Snow White And The Huntsman' stars Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart.
Karl Templer styled the pair to perfection in all black looks in the Mikael Jansson-lensed shoot. And despite the fact that Stewart has appeared on several covers in the past few months, this is by far the best editorial I've seen her in a long time.
The S/S12 campaign season was a strong one for Gisele Bundchen and among the three campaigns that she bagged was this one for Salvatore Ferragamo. To co-inside with the big unveiling of the campaign, the brand have just released this behind-the-scenes video of the campaign shoot shot by Mikael Jansson in Jamaica. Although we see Budchen in action, she doesn't speak but her co-star Noah Mills, who you will recognise from 'Sex and The City', does as well as Ferragamo's creative director, Massimliano Giornetti.
