With Christmas parties and events invites coming in steady and fast, no doubt most of us will be stressing over what to wear for the season of sparkle and festivity. Luckily, November sees the launch of the 9th GOLD by Giles collection for New Look. Based on true London glamour, we love the statement black top - ticking the trend boxes with puffed shoulders, sequins and studs - the sequin shift dress and the black snakeskin, studded heels. Dresses are key in Giles' latest collection for the high street store, and they come embellished with beads ready for the party season. Slouchy sequin vests make the perfect partner for skinnies, and art deco inspired jewellery finish the collection off perfectly. Come November, the collection will be available nationwide in New Look stores, as well as online, just in time to sort us out for Christmas. Keep it coming, Giles.

High street giant New Look has always sought to offer affordable, forward thinking and on-trend pieces. Having brought us a number of celebrity collaborations with the likes of Fearne Cotton, Alexa Chung and Lily Allen, the retailer is often way ahead of its high-street counterparts.
This week New Look launched their 'Idol' range which is a collection completely dedicated to the rock-chick in you. Paying homage to Debbie Harry, from whom the design team sought inspiration, the collection features edgy and directional garments and accessories. Jumpsuits, embellished boyfriend blazers, printed and bold coloured dresses, cuffs, chain details and spiked heels are the focal points of the collection which has been designed with the 'style-savvy fashionistas' in mind.

New Look, renowned for its celebrity collaborations, which have included Kelly Brook, Lily Allen, Fearne Cotton, Alexa Chung and Giles Deacon, has revealed that Kimberley Walsh, from Girls Aloud, will front its A/W campaign this year.
“We always feature women who our customers tell us they like and relate to', a New Look spokesman said. “Lily Allen was one of the girls. Agy is the approachable supermodel and the way Alexa Chung styles herself goes down really well with our customers. And Kimberley Walsh is the girl our customer most wants to be.”
The announcement comes on the same day that Cheryl Cole was revealed to be the new face of L’Oréal, but it’s nice to see one of the other girls do well outside of the group as they all take time out from band duties.

Rumours surfaced this week that Alison Mosshart - lead singer of The Kills and bandmate of Kate Moss' boyfriend, Jamie Hince - had plans up her sleeve for a clothing line. Specifically, the rumour mill had her designing and modeling for the high-street chain New Look.
However, Grazia now confirms that there's no such deal, and that's information directly from New Look. For now, Kate is unchallenged in the fashion department.
