Life must be amazing for Tavi Gevinson at the moment. The 13-year-old blogger du jour, who has captivated the world with her daily blog entitled Style Rookie, was featured in Pop magazine earlier this year and also bagged front-row seats at New York Fashion Week (and even missed school to be there). As if that wasn't enough, WWD has now reported that the kooky (mini) fashionista will be venturing to Tokyo to attend the Comme de Garcons holiday party on 27 November at the 10 Corso Como store, as the guest of honour. and her quirky dress sense, not only landed the cover of
Tavi must feel as though she is the luckiest girl in the world right now, especially given that she has previously blogged about her love of Rei Kawakubo and how she "scatters black petals her doorsteps and serenades her in rap". We can only imagine how jealous her school friends will be on her return.

See, the job market isn't so bad! At least not for Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, who served as Vogue's special events director until June and formerly planned fashion's biggest party, the Met Costume Institute Gala. Winston-Wolkoff has just been named Lincoln Centre's fashion week director. Not a bad transition, right?
The job duties include internal and external consulting for Lincoln Centre (which will host its first fashion week in September 2010) and fashion-industry players, including the CFDA, IMG Fashion and top designers. Winston-Wolkoff's new boss will be Reynold Levy, president of Lincoln Centre.
"Welcoming Fashion Week to Lincoln Center is an important part of our commitment to making the campus more open and accessible, particularly since design has played an integral role in the artistic life of our 12 resident organizations for many decades," said Levy. "Stephanie's understanding of the specific needs of the fashion industry in tandem with her experience in organizing high profile, logistically complex events, will be invaluable as a resource in ensuring that Fashion Week's presence at Lincoln Centre will be very special - exciting, convenient and efficient."

Despite New York Fashion Week moving to Lincoln Centre next year, Estée Lauder Group President John Demsey revealed today that the M.A.C sponsored satellite location will continue to be at Milk Studios, and although M.A.C will also be at Lincoln Centre, they will be backstage and not as a sponsor. “We’re committed to Milk for the next two years,” he told The Cut on Friday. With the success of this years partnership between the pair, the M.A.C at Milk initiative will no doubt be welcomed back by designers such as Alexander Wang, Erin Fetherston and Peter Som, who took up the chance to showcase at Milk this year.

In September, Anna Wintour came up with a global initiative, Fashion's Night Out, to stimulate spending, which in turn would go towards easing the difficulties caused by the global economic downturn. Kicking off on the first night of New York Fashion Week, fashion savvy shoppers were treated to free drinks and canapes as well as appearances from a mixed bag of celebrities. Here in the UK, stores such as Burberry, Matches, DKNY and Browns amongst others, played host to the likes of Lily Allen, Marios Schwab, Jonathan Saunders, Richard Nicoll, Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe to name but a few.
Due to the success of the inaugural event, Mayor Bloomberg and Vogue will be bringing Fashion's Night Out back again next year from the 9th September 2010, onwards. Anna Wintour confirmed that, "We were absolutely bowled over by the response to Fashion's Night Out. It was only fifteen minutes after the event began and we were getting reports about lines around the block at stores throughout the city...It was wonderful to see people embrace this initiative, and we are thrilled that they wish it to return." We are thrilled too and have already started planning how we will be able to attend the celebrations in multiple cities next year. We've already begun the countdown- only 311 days to go!

Each season Marc Jacobs' shows are the hottest ticket in town. Spring/Summer2010 was no exception. His younger more playful and dare we say cooler line, Marc by Marc Jacobs, did not disappoint. Bursting with vibrant patterns, clashing neons and all-wrapped-up in pretty bows, what more could any girl want. The main trend that will be ruling your wardrobes come spring time is the tribal print. From jodphur pants and graphic tees, to 40s skirts and all-in-ones, wear African-inspired pattern from head to toe.
Described as a nod to 80s youth culture, this trend is already making an impact on street style. We spotted this trendy Londoner at London Fashion Week wearing a denim jacket over a patterned play-suit, bearing a striking resemblance to the Marc by Marc Jacobs vision seen only a week before at New York Fashion Week. The little black boots make the outfit work all the way into winter, so maybe you won't have to wait until summer after all.

Dree Hemingway of Elite Models surprised London Fashion Week attendees this week as she made an appearance on the catwalk. She had been rumoured to walk for Calvin Klein at New York Fashion Week but this fell through, so it must have been a coup for her to be asked to open the star-studded Topshop show which saw a host of celebrities lining the front row, and closed the House of Holland show.
As one of a few well known models such as Sessilee Lopez, Anna de Rijk and supermodel Naomi Campbell, who strutted down the PPQ, Burberry and Issa runways, respectively, Hemingway can surely pat herself on the back for her LFW achievement. With more ad campaigns, acting roles and movie releases in the pipelines, it looks like 2009 / 2010 is set to be a busy year for her.

We know Heidi Klum's having her fourth child and all, but that doesn't mean she couldn't take time for a new project: voicing 'Heidi Barbie'. The 11.5-inch version of the supermodel attended New York Fashion Week in place of the real 'Project Runway' presenter, who was actually at home in LA with husband Seal.
Klum's Barbie doll interviewed the likes of Michael Kors, Mario Testino and Rachel Zoe backstage during fashion week, all the while appropriately decked out in a sequined mini dress, Victoria's Secret knickers and Lorraine Schwartz ring.
"The 'Heidi Barbie' voice makes Seal crazy," admits Klum. To hear HB's interviews, just check Modelinia.
