Olivier Theyskens Has A Book Deal

Wondering what Olivier Theyskens has been doing since his dramatic departure from Nina Ricci earlier this year? Us too. Actually, it seems the designer who introduced the world to 10-inch heels has a book deal. His title, called Olivier Theyskens, The Other Side of the Picture, will be released by Assouline in February. Just in time for our pre-fashion week reading...

Additionally, Theyskens has been in talks with Tory Burch's ex-husband, Christopher Burch. The man who helped Tory launch her mass-appeal line is developing a lifestyle brand with Caroline Brown, and the two reportedly are keen to have the Belgian designer help with their retail project. We don't necessarily see Theyskens as mass-market, but we don't want to see him unemployed, either. A boy's got to work, and we're sure he can tackle the challenge without even messing up his eyeliner.

Drama Continues At Puig Fashion Group

image via The Cut

If recent reports are anything to go by, the dust has not really settled since Olivier Theyskens' departure from Nina Ricci. According to sources, Puig Fashion Group, who own Nina Ricci as well as brand such as Carolina Herrera, has just lost their president.

Mario Grauso will alegedly stand down after New York Fashion Week next month when his contract runs out. Grauso, who was amongst the first to sing Theyksens praises last season, is reportedly leaving as a result of the designer's departure from the house.
