Back in February rumours emerged that CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Joseph Altuzarra and runners up Pamela Love and Creatures of Wind would collaborate with J. Crew. Last month the reports were confirmed with Altuzarra's collection dropping shortly after. Today this image hit the net revealing Love's collection for the retailer. The collection, which goes on sale today, marks the designer's first foray into designing clothes and the line is comprised of the Lormier skinny jean and jacket and chevron belt

Last month rumours started circulating that CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Jospeph Altuzarra is working on a capsule collection with J. Crew along with runners up Pamela Love and Creatures of the Wind. The news didn't come as surprise. Back in 2010, the high street retailer announced that they would work with the award recipients of that that year - who were Prabal Gurung, Eddie Borgo and Billy Reid - on capsule collections and today Altuzarra confirmed that the reports are true.
'So we worked on a collaboration which I think will be out in a few weeks,' he told Fashionista. 'It was a really interesting project because it was like a conflation of their language — or of their world — [and] of our world and putting it together.” As designer-high-street partnerships go, this is one I'm definitely looking forward to get my hands on. Yesterday Diane von Furstenberg and CFDA CEO Steven Kolb held an event in New York to announce the nominees for this year's CFDA awards. The nominees were not a surprise. The usual names like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row was in the mix alongside Jack McCollough and Lazaro Henandez for Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, Rachel Roy and Alexander Wang.
Last year's fashion icon award went to Lady Gaga leading many to question how they will be able to top that. Even Kolb tweeted: 'How do you top @ladygaga from last yr? We will!' This time the award will go to Johnny Depp, the first male to ever receive the award but while I've always been a fan of his, I'm not convinced that he can top Gaga.

J. Crew are a busy bunch at the moment. Last month they unveiled their collaboration with Manolo Blahnik and now reports allege that the retailer is working on a secret project with CFDA/Vogue fashion fund winners Pamela Love, Creatures of the Wind and Joseph Altuzarra.
Although creative director Jenna Lyons hasn't confirmed the project, it seems like a done deal. As you'll remember, back in 2011 they worked with the initiative's winners and runners up on a capsule collection so the decision to partner with the fashion fund again this year only makes sense.
The big winner on the night was editor's favourite, Joseph Altuzarra, who took home $300,000 to go towards his business as well the mentoring that comes along with the prize money. Pamela Love and Chicago, Shane Gabier and Chris Peters of Creatures of the Wind were the runners up and will walk away with $100,000 and of course, the mentorship from the CFDA's Business Advisory Committee.
Every model from Liya Kebede to Joan Smalls attended as well as designers like Donna Karan, keynote speaker Calvin Klein and past winner Alexander Wang.

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize is a big one but just to make it a bit more interesting this year, they've decided to treat the finalists to a bonus trip to Paris.
According to The Cut, Tommy Hilfiger is sponsoring the program, which enables these designers to show their collections in Paris to ensure that their collections are seen by those press and buyers who couldn't make it to New York Fashion Week. The lucky ten designers are Prabal Gurung, Sophie Theallet, Simon Spurr, Billy Reid, Eddie Borgo, Monique Péan, Ohne Titel, George Esquivel, Gregory Parkinson, and Pamela Love.
The show will take place on October 1.

Yesterday the CFDA judging panel, including Diane von Furstenberg, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler and Anna Wintour - released their 10 finalists for this years CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
