Cacharel is always a palette cleanser in Paris. The label's collections are easy in the most complimentary way. There's no over-intellectualising or unnecessary complications. The pieces are flirty and feminine and on the whole, pieces that can slip easily into anyone's wardrobe, especially for summer where dresses continue to dominate.
This season designers Ling Liu and Dawei Sun incorporated botanical prints on their fairytale dresses, which helped give them a much needed twist to break away from the otherwise heavily feminine collection. Don't get me wrong, the sheer organza dresses that they presented, which came nipped at the waist were what childhood fantasies were made of but whether anyone will remember this collection in the sea of strong offerings this season, I'm not convinced.
