We come spreading good news. The wait is almost over, as H&M have finally annouced that they are to launch a website where visitors can actually shop online which, has previously been a luxury afforded to native Sweden only. The high street giant, who have brought us some of the best celebrity collaborations over the years including Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Comme des Garcons, Viktor &Rolf, Roberto Cavalli and Matthew Williamson. Despite this exciting news however, online shopping will not actually be available until next Autumn(2010).
Don't be too disheartened though because the H&M camp have promised to stock a homeware range too by then, and they have also recently announced more celebrity collaboarations to come from Sonia Rykiel, who will be doing lingerie too, and none other than Mr Jimmy Choo, whose collection hits the stores mid-November. We can't wait!

How now, hausfrau? Roberto Cavalli took an unexpected turn for spring, with a collection of what can only be called country clothes. Calico, sack dresses, mismatched men's trousers - Cavalli had it all, with only a few frilly silk dresses to appease the party girls who can so often find the perfect frock in his collections.
The designer called his work "a hymn to a simpler lifestyle, far away from the limelight", which translated to sheer, floral-print dresses paired with boxy boys' jackets, and sometimes even layered over pinstripe trousers. There were elements of Marc Jacobs in the wear-all-your-clothes-at-once vibe, which is definitely something new for the line.
So what do you think of RC's change of heart? Let's discuss.

Or so said a dress at the Spring '10 Just Cavalli fashion show today in Milan. Roberto Cavalli hasn't helped to give Milan Fashion Week a subtle start. With a rebellious rock-chick collection complete with slashed jeans, hula-fringed shoes and more than a few visible bras, it seems the designer doesn't seem to care that just a season ago, he was worried about keeping the line afloat.
Balmain's skinny-skinny aesthetic was plenty visible on the runway, with dresses tiny enough to make even Victoria Beckham (maybe?) have to squeeze in. OK, who are we kidding? But also of note were tiered pink dresses, with mesh revealing the knickers underneath, and roomy, fringed tank dresses layered over bright tees.
Some of our favourite looks had to be a dissheveled black spaghetti-strap dress over a black bra and pants, or the mesh tank above with badass jeans. Does it resonate with you? We're not saying some of it hasn't been done before, but hey...maybe it touched us.

New photographs, as shown, reveal Roberto Cavalli with an unidentified woman on a yacht, who looks to be edging in for a kiss. The couple were snapped in Ponza, Italy, canoodling and smoking while sunbathing.
This comes after rumours that and he and his business partner and second wife of 28 years, Eva Cavalli, have split. Roberto has recently admitted that he and his wife are living apart and as such, has built himself a one-bedroom home on the couple’s estate.

It looks like all is not as well as was previously reported for Roberto Cavalli. Over the weekend, the brand lost the deal to sell a minority stake of the business to Clessidra, which was set to go through next month.
According to sources, Cressida had a change of heart because they believe that the designer overvalued the company.

According to Fashionologie, contrary to recent reports Roberto Cavalli will not debut a couture line. Instead, the designer launched a made-to-measure service on Monday. The line, called Roberto Cavalli Saint-Honore, boasts elegant and classically simple cocktail dresses starting from $42,000 that are a far cry from the over-the-top, glamourpuss nature of his mainline.
Each year no more that 35 dresses will produced.
