President Barack Obama knows how to throw a good party and deliver a good red carpet and the White House Correspondents' Dinner, which took place over the weekend was no different. Along with the usual mix of politicians came fashion folk like Tory Burch and Rachel Zoe, models like Kate Upton and Irina Shayk and major actresses like Kerry Washington and Claire Danes. As you know, Kim Kardashian never misses a photo-op was made an appearance with mother Kris Jenner making Obama joke, 'Why is she famous anyway?' during his speech.
Last night Naomi Campbell played host to the likes of Ivana Trump, Carla Bruni Sarkozy and Roberto Cavalli as she staged her annual Fashion For Relief runway show in Cannes. The model - who is currently celebrating her 41st birthday - walked the runway in Alexander McQueen, Marchesa and Yves Saint Laurent and she shared the runway with Yasmin Le Bon, Rosario Dawson and Karolina Kurkova.
Despite Campbell's several appearance on the runway for the event, held at the historic Forville Market, it was Jane Fonda who stole the show. The 73 year old strutted down the runway in a beautiful gold Marchesa evening gown to a rapturous applause.
As always, the event was for a good cuase with all funds raised going directly to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan through the Japanese Red Cross.
While the fashion world has all moved to New York for fashion week, celebrities were all in Los Angeles to attend the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards last night.
Rosario Dawson tapped into this season's trend of light and airy fabrics and sheer panels in this white and lavender dress at the Hollywood premiere of "The Book of Eli".
