I challenge you to remember a red carpet look worn by Shenae Grimes or at least remember one for the right reasons. Before you think I'm being too harsh, have a think and you'll see what I'm talking about.
While I don't have anything against the actress, her looks don't leave a lasting impression and this one is a case in point. Grimes wore the lace top and Style Stalker skater skirt to attend Entertainment Weekly's pre-Emmy party and sadly, it just doesn't hit the mark.
Shenae Grimes is the latest in a long string of stars who decide to get an internship in the fashion industry. Kanye West had one at Fendi, Tallulah Willis interned at Harper's Bazaar and 'Ugly Betty' star Mark Indelicato bagged a placement at Carolina Herrera.
The 90210 star has bagged an internship at Teen Vogue - a placement that she bagged through her publicist. "I was sick of L.A., so I wanted to come to New York. I found [editor-in-chief] Amy Astley’s contact through my publicist, and I e-mailed her," she told The Cut. "I'm a little audacious. As expected, her internship doesn't involve the usual coffee runs and endless hours of returns. "I’m shadowing everybody," she explained. What are her actual duties? "No fetching coffee or photocopying, which is what I thought would happen," she said. "My editor is Andrew Bevan, who’s a dear friend of mine, and I attend a lot of pulls with [fashion market editor] Mary Kate Steinmiller. We pull clothes for shoots and stuff like that," she explained. "Oh, and I’m blogging for the website as well."
Shenae Grimes wore these black high waisted trousers and black boob tube with this printed floor-length cover up to the Nylon and Express' Denim issue party at The London Hotel.
Shenae Grimes wore this multicoloured mini with a leather jacket and black stockings to the Gilbert Chagoury Chagoury Couture North American launch in L.A.
Shenae Grimes teamed her black and white striped Ecoganik dress with studded sandals and a quilted Chanel bag; whereas Taylor Momsen teamed hers with an overszied boyfriend cardigan and black loafers.
