I have a love/hate relationship with Sofia Vegara. Along with Penelope Cruz and Eva Mendes, she's amongst a handful of actresses that actually represent a healthy body image for women and there's no doubting that she always looks incredible in her magazine spreads and red carpet appearances. But while that's true, all of her outfits tend to look the same and her July spread in Vanity Fair Spain is a prime example of that.
True to form, the 39 year-old was styled in pieces that don't stray too far from the figure hugging silhouette that she's become known for. Don't get me wrong, the pieces work for her and it's always a good think to see curvy women in Hollywood embrace their bodies but I really hope to see her shake things up soon.
President Barack Obama knows how to throw a good party and deliver a good red carpet and the White House Correspondents' Dinner, which took place over the weekend was no different. Along with the usual mix of politicians came fashion folk like Tory Burch and Rachel Zoe, models like Kate Upton and Irina Shayk and major actresses like Kerry Washington and Claire Danes. As you know, Kim Kardashian never misses a photo-op was made an appearance with mother Kris Jenner making Obama joke, 'Why is she famous anyway?' during his speech.

The red carpet looks at the SAG Awards were really good and to some extent, a lot more exciting than what we saw at the Golden Globes. Natalie Portman, Lea Michele, Renee Bargh, Tilda Swinton and Emma Stone stole the show. Strong looks also came from Ashlee Simpson who made a surprise appearance on the red carpet, which suggests that she has a big comeback in the works and Sofia Vegara looked beautiful in a pink strapless gown.
Nobody does va va voom quite like Sofia Vegara and this pre-fall Monique Lhuillier dress that she wore to the 2012 annual Producers Guild Awards is a case in point. That said, it would be nice to see the actress change things up in her coming red carpet appearances because there's only so long that figure hugging pieces can keep us interested.
