Since her 'Star Trek' tour, we've had a soft spot for Zoe Saldana. She's given us Lanvin (and lots of it) and the best from Clavin Klein and Louis Vuitton. So with that in mind, we were all disappointed with this white ruffle halter-neck wrap dress that she wore this week to the 2010 Crystal and Lucy Awards where she was honored. As this is one 'peculiar' outfit in a list of spot-on looks, we'll take this outfit as a minor blip.
It would appear so. Street-style photog Mark Hunter, a.k.a. The Cobrasnake, has organised parties in Paris, Los Angeles, Berlin and New York to celebrate the launch of the new Star Trek Film, according to Refinery29. He's brought the likes of DJ AM and Steve Aoki on board, along with a number of artists and, naturally, alien girls. Hunter has also collaborated with RVCA to get commemorative t-shirts for the parties, so perhaps it's time to wear your geek on your sleeve.
What is happening with Zoe Saldana these days? I see someone getting their style on. Saldana looked stunning in this red one-shouldered number at the Star Trek premiere in Berlin yesterday.
"Clothes can send a powerful message," the former model and dancer has said. "You don't have to be on a movie set to tell a story. You can play a part on the red carpet or at a photo shoot."
When I think Star Trek, I don't think lots of skin and goddess dresses. But that's what author and model Tara Moss brought to the premiere of Star Trek XI in Sydney. I'm not sure the top is the most flattering, but the colour is understated and elegant. Your thoughts?
