Rachel Bilson's Deal With Sunglass Hut Goes Global

Last year Sunglass Hut announced the appointment of Rachel Bilson as they style director and now their partnership is going global. The move will see Bilson rework her blog on the company's website where she will solve style dilemmas based on questions posted by readers.

Aside from her online presence, the actress will also feature on in-store imagery and is set to make personal appearances at stores too. “People are just so responsive and excited that I’m there to talk about sunglasses,” she told WWD. “It is very flattering if anyone wants my opinion on anything, so I think it’s fun. It is more about getting to meet people and talk to them about all sorts of stuff.”

Rachel Bilson Is The First Ambassador For Sunglass Hut

Joss Stone isn't the only star that has bagged a big deal this week. Not content with only having one finger in the fashion pie having contributed to InStyle magazine as a monthly fashion columnist, Rachel Bilson has just been announced as the first ambassador for Sunglass Hut. Don't be to cynical just yet. According to sources, the deal will extend beyond the average celebrity collaboration so we can expect the 28 year-old actress to be blogging, featuring in video podcasts and hosting consumer chats on the company's website.

Madonna Morphs From Dolce Model To Designer

After starring in their latest ad campaign, it has been revealed that Madonna is to morph from Dolce and Gabbana model to contributing designer. The collaboration is to be the design duo's first co-branded venture, with the singer designing a collection of sunglasses for the Italian house, bearing the letter M on the arm. "We're so excited," Stefano Gabbana told WWD. "This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. She is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception."

Madonna already stars in this season's Dolce and Gabbana campaign, as well as the advert for the new sunglasses line for the company, which is said to have been inspired by 'film noir' and is due to launch this May to coincide with the release of her collaboration. Both ranges will be available in Dolce and Gabbana stores worldwide and at the Sunglass Hut, with Madonna's line priced from $180 to $210. Is there anything Madonna can't do?
