Rate or Slate: Jennifer Aniston Put Her Best Leg Forward

This week Jennifer Aniston jumped on the thigh high slit parade wearing this white Burberry gown to attend the AFI Lifetime Achievement ceremony honoring Shirley MacLaine. To finish off the look she accessorised with Tabitha Simmons' Flossie Ayers heels and Valentino's vava-voom flap bag.

The look works for Aniston. There's no denying that she has the body to carry it off but as always, the look is an obvious choice for her. Like Scarlett Johannson, I'm desperate to see her sport something interesting and different on the red carpet but considering that she hasn't steered away from dresses like this for years, sadly it's unlikely to happen.

What do you think?

Isaac Mizrahi Will Not Have A Runway Show This Season

As fashion week approaches, news continues to break about changes to the New York Fashion Week schedule. Earlier on this month Tabitha Simmons revealed that Marchesa are ditching their usual presentation format in favour of a runway show and today Style.com announced that MAC will no longer sponsor the Rodarte show. Isaac Mizrahi is the latest designer to announce a change this season.

Rather than playing host to a runway show, the designer has decide to photograph the collection for a look book that he'll send to press and buyers instead."We think that sounds modern," he explained on his blog today. "Of course next season we'll be planning our fabulous lollapalooza fashion show — a 3D in theaters near you."

Marchesa To Stage A Runway Show?

Marchesa are known for showing their collections in intimate presentations but that might be changing if recent reports are anything to go by. This week Tabitha Simmons, who often works with the pair, tweeted: "Now going to see the Marchesa collection! Can’t wait as they are having a show this season. I will keep you posted," suggesting that the brand will have a runway show next month. Clearly with the rise of all things social networking, it's hard to keep a fashion secret.

Although we're excited about the news, the models in the show might not be. The brand's dreses are far from simple or easy to walk in so I think it's safe to predict that there might be a couple of tumbles.

Bring on September!
