At the London premiere of 'The Dark Knight Rises' last night, Marion Cotillard stepped out in Christian Dior couture, marking the first time that a look from the collection has been seen on the red carpet and she absolutely nailed it.
Over the past few months her outfits have been lukewarm and have failed to excite. As a brand ambassador for Dior, we all know that she'll wear the brand on the red carpet but unlike fellow spokesperson Charlize Theron, Cotillard's outfits tend to feel predictable and samey so it was good to see her shake things up lat night. The orange bustier and houndstooth pencil skirt with the gold waistband looks classic and perfectly epitomised the understated modern aesthetic that Raf Simons is bringing to the brand.
I must admit. I am amongst the many journalists that haven't always been so favourable about Peaches Geldof's fashion choices in the past but since giving birth, her outfits seem to have changed and in a good way.
The Alberta Ferretti demi-couture gown that she wore last night to attend the London premiere of 'The Dark Knight Rises' is a case in point. The dress felt a lot more polished and grown up compared to the Peaches of old and really worked on her.
As far as red carpet looks are concerned, I'm always excited to see what Anne Hathaway is going to wear. More often than not, she never puts a foot wrong but things have changed recently.
Last week she sported that black peplum Givenchy dress that did little to hide her smaller frame, as she prepares for her role in Les Miserables, and sadly this outfit that she wore last night to attend the premiere of 'The Dark Knight Rises' hit a similar note. Her hair and make-up looked flawless but I'm not convinced that this plunge-neck Prabal Gurung Resort 2013 works on her.
The rumours aren't far-fetched. Next month will see the French actress begin the promotional tour for the latest in the Batman series, 'The Dark Knight Rises', and also has a french film in the works that is set to hir screens in November so the timing makes sense.
