Kate Moss is trying her hand at plenty of new career options, now that her run as a guest designer at Topshop is through. It seems she wants to open a modelling school. She has a line of fruit preserves - Kate's Damson Jams - hitting stores. And now, she's recording her own album, according to the Daily Mail.

Perhaps it's a natural transition for Moss, who's currently dating Jamie Hince of The Kills, and who formerly dated Pete Doherty - with whom she hit the stage for a charity gig last year. She's also sung for tracks with The Lemonheads and Primal Scream, and she's reportedly singing a duet for Bryan Ferry's next album.

According to Daily Mail sources, Moss' album will include "a set of edgy urban songs." The explanation? According to a source: “Kate’s fashion days are winding down and she’s no longer designing for Topshop, so her dream is to to record an urban album.”

I feel like I'm constantly writing about rumours that Kate Moss and Jamie Hince are engaged and here I am again. The couple sparked speculation that they got married after they were spotted wearing rings on their wedding fingers at the annual horse race, the Palio.

Moss sported a diamong ring while The Kills singer sported a simple silver ring while in Italy, where the pair have been on holiday for the past two weeks, leading many to speculate that they tied the knot while there."Kate and Jamie are closer than ever," a friend of the couple told The Daily Mail. "They aren't married yet but it is very much a case of 'watch this space'".

He mentioned an idea to Kate, based around the lives of her and her friends - and Kate leapt at the chance to get involved."

Fans should be eager to get an authorised inside take on the notoriously silent, Croydon-born model, but it seems Moss might have to keep some of the juicier details of her ventures with the Primrose Hill Set - Sadie Frost, Davinia Taylor and Rhys Ifans - a secret. The source continued: "The script is edgy, and could get a few celebs in trouble. Kate may have to tone things down."

Moss' frequent collaborator and Topshop exec Sir Philip Green has agreed to back the play, which we say can't hit the stage soon enough.

So, the New York Fashion Week gossip circuit reopens. It seems The Kills will be in NYC during the eight-day festivities, which means several things. Yes, it means we can admire Alison Mosshart's style. But more pressingly, it means we can assume Kate Moss will be there with Jamie Hince.

We admit it's hard to keep track of the status of that relationship, so who knows whether they'll actually be together by the second week in February? But even if they do split, for now let's assume they'll get back together. We'd so love to see Kate giving the cat stare from the front row.

Rumours surfaced this week that Alison Mosshart - lead singer of The Kills and bandmate of Kate Moss' boyfriend, Jamie Hince - had plans up her sleeve for a clothing line. Specifically, the rumour mill had her designing and modeling for the high-street chain New Look.

However, Grazia now confirms that there's no such deal, and that's information directly from New Look. For now, Kate is unchallenged in the fashion department.

Cruising around the French Riviera this weekend, Kate Moss played both model and photographer. With a group that included her boyfriend, The Kills' Jamie Hince, and Stefano Pilati of YSL, Moss stripped from her bikini into a sarong for a session of topless sunbathing and half-nude photography.

Pilati spent part of the afternoon photographing the topless females onboard - some accessorised with sailor hats - but Moss went behind the camera, too. Kate 6-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, was also on the trip, but with the amount of help Moss brought, we're sure she was far from the action.

Rumour has it the model and Hince fought later in Saint-Tropez over where to sit, but all in all, it sounds like everyone, uh, enjoyed themselves over the weekend.

The couple are said to have kissed and made up later, and, understandably, Moss is buying her man a new laptop.

You gotta give this girl one thing: When she goes for something, she really commits, and with her well known love for music Kate Moss had a royal good time at Hoping's Got Talent last night. It all started when a guest to the charity karaoke contest bid £47,000 to see the supermodel sing 'Summertime' with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. This turned into a chance for her to writhe on the stage at London's Cafe de Paris.

Moss judged the event, which also drew her boyfriend Jamie Hince of the Kills, plus Lily Allen, David Waliams, Tracey Emin and Guy Ritchie. We stack this up as a good day for the model. She's done backup vocals for Pete Doherty, she's sung on The Lemonheads' track 'Dirty Robot'...this was the natural next step.
