When I think of Cameron Diaz, people like Jennifer Aniston springs to mind. Both women are the epitome of the fun girl next door character who girls want to be friends with and guys want to date and as far as Diaz goes, for a long time it hasn't be hard to understand why.
Things seemed to have changed recently. Her most recent red carpet appearances have been a far cry from the memorable looks that she used to come up with and her covers seem flat too. For June she appears on the cover of British Harper's Bazaar shot by Tom Munro in what in my opinion is her weakest cover yet wearing Calvin Klein S/S12. When news broke that she would cover the title's summer issue I really hoped that they would do something really interesting and different with her but it all feels a bit stale.
March has been a good month for magazine covers. British Vogue with Lana Del Rey, British ELLE with Alexa Chung and Harper's Bazaar US with Gwyneth Paltrow have all been particularly strong and are definitely worthy of being the second most important issue of the year. While I haven't been crazy about US ELLE's recent covers, this is the best they have released in a while. Blake Lively looks effortless and natural wearing Victoria Beckham for the Tom Munro-shot cover.
Katie Holmes is the new spokesperson for Ann Taylor and her campaign, shot by Tom Munro, was finally released this week but is set to hit magazines in the March issues.
Holmes enters a long line of celebrities that have graced the brand's campaign including Mila Jovovich, Naomi Watts and Heidi Klum and the deal marks her second big campaign. 2009 saw her appear as the face of Miu Miu's spring/summer campaign and that year she launched her clothing line Holmes & Yang with stylist Jeannie Yang.
