Stylist Elizabeth Stewart 'Dresses People For Who They Are,' Says Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain is amongst a class of relatively new actresses on the scene that never fail to disappoint when it comes to red carpet dressing. From appearing at the 'Live with Kelly' to promote her last movie wearing that Fall 2012 Carven outfit to absolutely nailing it in that Marios Schwab number at the Tony Awards, Chastain is by far one of my favourite red carpet goers and she has stylist Elizabeth Stewart to thank.

Yesterday Chastain fulfilled her duties as the new face of Yves Saint Laurent's latest fragrance by attending the screening of 'Lawless', which the brand held alonside the Cinema Society and on the red carpet, she couldn't have been more compliemntary of Stewart's work. 'I’ve worked with her for two years. My very first meeting with her, I really had a connection because she sees fashion as more than just using a dress to look pretty,' she told The Cut. 'I also love the idea that she dresses people for who they are as individuals. She doesn’t dress people like herself, or like each other. She also dresses Cate Blanchett, Freida Pinto, and Amanda Seyfried, and we all have very different styles.'

Rate or Slate: Jessica Chastain Nails It In Marios Schwab

The Tony Awards are a big deal in the world of theatre but style wise, there's never really much to get excited about but that was until Jessica Chastian hit the red carpet last night.

Granted Chastain does go down the safe route sometimes but she equally isn't afraid of taking a risk and last night it really paid off. Everything about the Mario Schwab dress is beautiful and works brilliantly on her womanly physique and against her porcelain skin. It's sheer in all the right places and the Swarovski Elements preserving her modesty works beautifully too.

Rate or Slate: Amanda Seyfried In Givenchy At The Tony Awards

I'm usually the biggest fan of anything Riccardo Tisci does at Givenchy but the matador-meets-equestrian style Fall 2012 collection wasn't my favourite. Sadly that didn't change when Amanda Seyfried sported one of the dresses last night at the 2012 Tony Awards in New York. Putting my opinion of the collection aside, I'm still not convinced that it works on the actress.

Rate or Slate: Anne Hathaway in Oscar at the Tonys

Anne Hathaway remembered her ruby slippers to the Tony Awards last night, where she sported chiffon Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress. Does she look good?
