Last weekend we were lucky enough to attend the 2011 V Festival with Cocosa and this year the line-up was stronger than ever showcasing the best talent from the UK along with a good handful from across the pond. Saturday saw acts like Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J, Arctic Monkeys and Dizzee Rascal hit the stage and the event drew to a close on Sunday evening in a stellar fashion as Rihanna and Eminem hit the stage.
Performances aside, there were a lot more treats this year. For press and Virgin users, Virgin Media opened a secret garden where guests could be pampered with massages and hair styling and if you fancied a dance, a big dance floor area was placed underneath a balcony where guests could dance to tracks spun by The Noisettes and Ellie Goulding. But it doesn't end there. Press were spoilt in the media area to tasty grub made by Jamie Oliver rather that the classic festival diet of Chinese or burgers and chips.
Fashion wise, unfortunately there wasn't many statement looks. Most stuck to the signature festival wardrobe of either Hunters, Converse or Dr Martens teamed with Levi's Diasy Dukes, cropped or printed tees and the much loved flower Alice band.
Recently The Fash Pack and Cocosa joined forces on a special festival project that we're collaborating on over the course of the summer. In their quest to find the ultimate festival look, the discount retailer have picked five bloggers - Catwalk Queen's Jess Wood, The Chic Geek's Macus Jaye, The Very Simon G's Simon Glazin, Fashion Foie Gras' Emily Johnson and yours truly - to help pick our favourite looks.
Our first challenge? Last week we were invited to the Cocosa studio to go through their rails and compile our ultimate festival look and that's where you come in. My look is live on the Cocosa Facebook page and I need your support. All you need to do is firstly show some love to the Cocosa page and then like our look. It's as simple as that! If you want to get in on the action too, submit a picture of yourself of anyone that you think has the festival look sorted and tag 'Cocosa' to your image to be in with a chance of winning a prize. The person with the most likes wins.
I'll be reporting live from the 2011 V Festival this summer exclusively for Cocosa so stay tuned for updates.
Topshop is without a doubt one of the coolest and most credible high street stores, so it comes as no surprise that the store was responsible for the fabulously on-trend looks offered up by VV Brown and Shingai Shoniwa of the Noisettes at this year's V Festival.
Brown sported leopard print harems, whilst Shoniwa teamed a red fringed jacket with a satin bra top and hot pants.
Brown and Shoniwa are not the only ladies to have been privy to this particular Topshop experience, as Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine was lucky to have received similar treatment for both Glastonbury and Lovebox festivals earlier this summer.
