Last night MTV played host to their annual Video Music Awards. Winners on the might include Katy Perry who won the award for Best Video of the Year, Lady Gaga who won the award for Best Female Video and Beyonce who walked away with the award for Best Choreography for 'Run the World (Girls)'.
Despite the stellar performances on the night, that's not what everyne left talking because all eyes were on Beyonce as the 29 year-old star used the event to announce that she's expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z. The mother-to-be shone on the red carpet in a bright orange aysmetric Lanvin dress. Other strong looks came from fellow Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez.
Tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, held at New York's Radio City Music Hall, provided quite the range of dress codes. From Lady Gaga's usual follow-her-own-drummer wear to Taylor Swift's mega-formal gown, the stars came out in, well, whatever they felt like.
Some of our favourites for the night were Whitney Port, Amerie and Nicky Hilton. What do you think?
Beyonce and Lady Gaga have each earned nine nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards, including a nod each for Video of the Year. Beyonce brought out her black leotards and single glove for 'Single Ladies', but it was a pleather and a face chain for Gaga's 'Poker Face'. Based on fashion, whose video would you choose?
And speaking of that, let's talk red-carpet style: Who do you think will look better pre-show this Sept. 13?
