Quote Me: British Gold Medallist Pete Reed On The Stella McCartney Team GB Kit

Everyone in the Olympic Village wants to trade with us. Lots of other nations look so plain and flat. Our kit is really something to be proud of.

'Cheryl Cole Is The Perfect Cavalli Woman,' Says Roberto Cavalli

Image via Vogue UK

Cheryl Cole made her big comeback this weekend on 'The Voice' performing the first single from her new album. You'll forgiven for not noticing, what with her leaping from the stage and all, but for the big occasion the singer chose to wear Roberto Cavalli in what looks like the start of a partnership on the promotion of the album.

'Cheryl and I have had a relationship for many years,' Cavalli told. 'It was a great pleasure to collaborate with her in designing an outfit, especially for her performance on The Voice. We used the signature Cavalli Fantasia and leopard prints to create a show-stopping outfit that enhanced her high-octane performance.'

Solange Knowles Signs With Next Model Management

2011 really felt like a good year for Solange Knowles. While in the past we have always thought of her as Beyonce's younger sister, last year was the first time many people stopped and paid attention to her and it's hardly surprising. Her style and penchant for brands like Opening Ceremony and Dries van Noten has won her a legion of fashion fans and she's starred in big campaigns for both Rimmel and Carol's Daughter.

2012 looks to be even better for Knowles as yesterday, news broke that she has just signed with Next Models. Like Lana Del Rey who signed with them last week, she will join the agency's 'talent' category along with stars like Elie Goulding and Alexa Chung. Vogue UK, who are already calling her the 'next big thing', have confirmed that she will guest-blog on the website fo their 'Today I'm Wearing' feature.

Hopefully this is only the beginning of great things for Solange.

New In: Florence Welch Covers British Vogue's January Issue

British Vogue are on a roll in the cover stakes at the moment. Their Adele cover was my favourite from them this year and you voted their Gisele cover as the best December issue cover yesterday and now it looks like the magazine has done it again.

This morning these images surfaced of Florence Welch appearing on the cover of their January issue and if the cover image is anything to go by, we have a lot to look forward to from the whole cover spread. Welch's Vogue Japan shoot didn't quite work, nor did it feel true to the singer's aesthetic but that's exactly what British Vogue has done so well. The 70s Charlie's Angels feel is perfection and is exactly what you would expect, and hope for, from a Florence cover.

What do you think about the cover?

Quote Me: Galliano Won't Return Dior After The Way He Was Treated, Says Manolo Blahnik

Franca Sozzani once said something about John Galliano that I thought was perfect. She said that ‘Dior’s solution and salvation would be to bring back that man,’–and I agree. Of course he would never do that after being so badly treated. What he said was horrific, but said under the influence of drugs and alcohol–that is no reason to destroy talent.

Victoria Beckham Brand Continues To Grow

Brand Victoria Beckham is doing well - really well - and rightfully so. Despite criticisms for high prices, her handbag line has been a great success at retail and her debut runway show the experimentation this season with looser silhouettes and shapes were met with critical acclaim also this season also saw the launch of her diffusion line, Victoria by Victoria Beckham.

So it comes at no surprise that the brand is expected to do well this year. The label is set to earn more than £60million this year, a spokesperson from the company confirmed, with that figure set to increase significantly next year when the diffusion line hits stores. Sales for the mainline were up by 70% to £15million compared in the first three months of 2011 compared to the same time last year, the Daily Mail reports.

Georgia May Jagger To Start Her Own Clothing Brand?

Georgia May Jagger did wonders for Hudson jeans as the face and her collection for the brand that launched earlier this year went down well and now the young model is toying with the idea of creating her own line.

"I'd love to do a fashion label in the future," she told Vogue UK at Sergio Rossi's flagship store opening last week. "I've been thinking a lot recently about maybe making a line of little dresses, so maybe one day. I'm really happy designing jeans at the moment though." Any idea of starting a brand is on hold for the moment, as Jagger explained that she's just enrolled on a photography course, but design ambitions are definitely on the cards she confirmed.

Would you wear her collection?

Quote Me: No Pain, No Gain, Says Christian Louboutin

For some a little discomfort is balanced by something else, which has to do with desire. You feel yourself, empower yourself, know yourself. You are aware of your body. This little act of discomfort pays off in lots of other ways.

Another Big Name Supports Marc Jacobs For Dior

Fashion week may be over but everyone is still talking about the Marc Jacobs alleged move to Dior from Louis Vuitton. Back in September Anna Dello Russo, Hamish Bowles and Mickey Boardman were three big names who came forward and publicly supported Jacobs as the brand's new creative director and according to Vogue UK, Jacobs has the support of another big editor.

Yesterday at her book signing in London's Dover Street Market, Carine Roitfeld spoke highly of the American designer and supported the reported move. “He understands the company, how it works and how to work with them. He’s been given the shoulders to do the Dior job already. He’s never done couture though, so I’d be really excited to see him do couture for Dior," she told Vogue UK. "He’s a very smart person. If Marc gets the job, I won’t miss a single show.”
