Ever since we first clapped eyes on Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port on their first day at Teen Vogue, a certain fascination has since ensued. So when Teen Vogue severed their partnership with The Hills a couple of seasons ago, we thought that we'd seen the last of the teen bible's fashion cupboards. It seems however, that we may have been a bit hasty as Amy Astley, editor-in-chief of the magazine, recently let slip at a book signing event at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), that the magazine had been working on a new TV show.
Although she failed to give any additional information as to what we could expect from the new show, she did confirm that the show would definitely not be centred around her, saying, "I don't want to be a media personality. I've seen people laughed off Madison Avenue for taking the reality star route, it can really backfire."

Reality TV is that guilty pleasure we all love to hate but still find ourselves intrigued and somewhat envious of those who pluck up enough courage to allow us voyeurs to live vicariously through them and their TV antics. The likes of Lauren Conrad from The Hills and Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo of The City, have added a much needed 'cool-factor' to the proceedings.
Marc Jacobs looks set to join the ranks of the 'credible reality TV stars', as Gawker.com reported that he is preparing to feature in a new reality series, Kept, which is set around 'high-powered openly gay playboys' . Although Jacobs has not himself confirmed this new gig, having starred in Loic Prigent's feature length film, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton last year, it would be no surprise if the designer had been bitten by the 'acting' bug. Filming is not due to start until November but for those of you who have aspirations of starring in the next hit reality tv series, head to New York in a few weeks for the open casting call. Last night, Teen Vogue held their 7th annual Young Hollywood Party in Milk Studios with guests including the cast of 'Twilight' and '90210'
The likes of Ashley Tisdale, Kelly Osbourne, Jessica Lowndes and Lily Collins all graced the red carpet for the festivities. Unfortunately for us, we won't be able to catch it on 'The Hills' after both Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad have left the magazine and the show.
Olivia Palermo,who started out as a 'social', became a household name since the launch of the MTV reality series, The City. Not content with her status as a reality TV star, the 23 year old has revealed that she is designing a jewellery range, in collaboration with Manhattan based designer- Roberta Freymann.

Tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, held at New York's Radio City Music Hall, provided quite the range of dress codes. From Lady Gaga's usual follow-her-own-drummer wear to Taylor Swift's mega-formal gown, the stars came out in, well, whatever they felt like.
