Twilight: The Makeup. We're Serious.

You might have heard of this little movie called 'Twilight', starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. It seems 'New Moon', the vampire flicks' second instalment, has inspired a makeup collection from the cult brand DuWop.

And what, pray tell, does a Twilight-inspired makeup collection look like? For starters, there'll be a version of the brand's Lip Venom plumper that'll be separated so one half looks like blood. Can we also expect the palest foundation this side of a geisha girl's makeup stand?

The products are said to be launching later this year, but you might want to line up now. You know a gaggle of hopeful Edward Cullen suitors can make for a crazy scene.

Hard Times Make People Buy Mascara?

So maybe this is happening because people are crying over losing their jobs, or because people are going on more dates (online dating has gone way up during the recession), or maybe just because people want their DiorShow. But anyway, sales of mascara have boosted by 8.5 percent at supermarkets and drugstores over the past year. More than $260 million has been spent on eye makeup during that time.

Meanwhile, lipstick sales - which usually rise during hard times - have dropped by 5.8 percent. What's happening here?

Rate or Slate: Duffy Knows Where the Action Is

Of the new-retro singers, Duffy is pretty much what Mandy Moore was to the girl pop stars of the late '90s. (Amy Winehouse is Xtina, natch, and although she's a non-lipsynching musical genius, Adele has to be Britney because you always get the impression she could go a bit wild.)

Duffy went to Sweden this weekend for Stockholm's 'Where the Action Is' music festival, and she seems to be going a bit more modern with her hairstyle. Do you like her going more natural, or do you miss the beehive?

Quote Me: When Talks with Models Get Awkward

If models were no longer 15 or 16 — if there was an age prohibit — that would be a really great thing.
