Giuseppe Zanotti recently graced the 8th floor of Saks Fifth Avenue to meet his legions of fans, be photographed by them and also to autograph the soles of their Zanotti heels. Having started out as a DJ, Zanotti acted as consultant to a number of well known fashion houses before setting up his eponymous line in 1993.

The shoe designer has gone from strength to strength and now has a celebrity following including the likes of Beyonce, Gisele, Kylie, Kate Hudson, Blake Lively and Victoria Beckham, to name but a few. In an interview with StyleList at the Saks event, the shoemaker was questioned on a range of topics ranging from his beginnings, Alexander McQueen hoof-like heels, and celebrity designers and high street collaborations and we thought it would only be fair to let you have a read of the highlights.

Quote Me: The Fashion Week Video Game?

Fashion people are supposed to spend their free time going to parties, shopping, drinking, getting body scrubs, BlackBerrying, and looking at themselves in the mirror — not playing video games. Unless a certain new fad in the world of gaming has created a feverish interest in the pastime among editors and designers and fashion aspirants — the Wii Fit.

The Cut speculates on the success of a new (stylish?) video game, created by 505 Games, IMG and Pat McGrath

Drew Barrymore Covers Gotham Magazine

Drew Barrymore is Gotham Magazine's April cover girl.

In the magazine she discussed her latest role as “Little Edie” in HBO’s upcoming Grey Gardens:

“I didn’t speak on the phone or watch television or read the newspaper and BlackBerry or speak to my family or one friend for three months… I felt I had to isolate myself. It was really painful for me not to have contact with the people I love. I felt like it would be fraudulent to talk on a cell phone- ‘Like, yeah, I’ll call you back in a second’- and walk back on set and pretend I’m this person who wouldn’t even know what a cell phone was.”
