Sophie Theallet and Alabama Chanin
Sophie Theallet started her week off right: Last night, she took home a $200,000 prize for top honours at the Sixth-Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The Brooklyn-based womenswear designer addressed the crowd at New York's Skyline Studios by saying, "I'm French, so I'm going to try to do my best...Thank you for making my American dreams come true."
Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz and Nicole Kidman gave out the awards, which saw runners-up Monique Pean, a philanthropic jewellery designer, and menswear designer Patrik Ervell take $50,000 apiece. Facing a crowd including Anna Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg and Karen Elson, Pean vowed, "I won't disappoint you."
Wintour said at the event that she had met with the French minister of culture to discuss starting a similar fund in France, and the UK and Italy already have their own schemes. The editor reported that China, Russia, Brazil and India aren't far behind, but admitted still that "New York is the place to come for young designers to show what they're capable of."

Lady Gaga
Tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, held at New York's Radio City Music Hall, provided quite the range of dress codes. From Lady Gaga's usual follow-her-own-drummer wear to Taylor Swift's mega-formal gown, the stars came out in, well, whatever they felt like.
Some of our favourites for the night were Whitney Port, Amerie and Nicky Hilton. What do you think?

Just as we expected, the premiere for 'The September Issue' had the best of the fashion industry hitting the red carpet just to get a glimpse into the inner world of Vogue, and the life of Anna Winour. The American fashion industry officially went into a stand still for the afternoon.
Everyone from Zac Posen to Diddy was in attendance.

Last night, Cassie attended the party Louis Vuitton held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the lunar landing at the American Museum of Natural History. The celebration ties in with the brand's current ad campaign starring US astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Sally Ride and Jim Lovell.
What do you think of her Louis Vuitton look?

Diddy and Ashton Kutcher had a busy Independence Day weekend, celebrating the annual White Party on July 4. The two hosted the LA event in partnership with the charity Malaria No More, a non-profit group dedicated to improving health conditions in Africa.
Celebs started with an afternoon barbecue and partied well into the night, enjoying cupcakes and vodka martinis from Diddy's line Ciroc. Care to see who broke out their all-white outfits for one of the year's best-known soirees?

Amber Rose, Cassie
The stars came out this July 4 for Diddy's annual White Party, hosted at a private residence with Ashton Kutcher. Two ladies with, shall we say, unusual hair both showed off a bit of skin, but who did it better?

Amber Rose and Kanye West
Sunday's BET Awards - hosted by Jamie Foxx - turned into a tribute to Michael Jackson, with many of the night's stars and presenters donning a single white glove in honour of the King of Pop.
A few big winners of the night included Beyonce, who nabbed the Best Female R&B Artist title; Lil Wayne for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist; and Keri Hilson for Best New Artist.
With the likes of Ciara, Alicia Keys and Amerie on the red carpet, we saw plenty of style winners. Who are some of your favourites from the evening?
