Looking for a new direction in life? So is Claudia Schiffer. That's why she's making plans to launch her own fashion line, which could include handbags and cashmere pieces. The 39-year-old model told guests at a luxury conference in Berlin this week that she's looking for investors to support her venture, which she believes would be "timeless and classic, with a fashion sensibility".
But what does this mean for Schiffer's modelling career? Don't worry: She's not throwing the past two decades out the window. With recent spots for Salvatore Ferragamo, Yves Saint Laurent and Alberta Ferretti - plus the new Chanel campaign - we can only imagine that the model will keep building her portfolio both wearing great pieces and making them.

Gwyneth’s long-awaited clothing collection has finally surfaced. Designed in collaboration with French company Zoe Tee's - which focuses on deconstructed silhouettes and feminine shapes – the range launched exclusively in British boutique Matches’ shop and online store on Thursday. Gwyn has created clothes that are typically her; taking the tactile comfort of jersey and enhancing it with flattering and sophisticated draping – a chic-comfort look that will suit women of all ages and shapes, not to mention being bang on trend.
“Gwyneth is looking so hot at the moment, so her collaboration with Zoe Tee's couldn’t have come at a better time,” Bridget Cosgrave, Matches’ Buying and Fashion Director, told Grazia. “The collection - which is exclusive to Matches - epitomises those fail-safe, easy pieces in sporty/luxe fabrics that you can wear comfortably from day to evening.”

As the events surrounding Michael Jackson's intimely death unfold, it was only a matter of time before the details of a possible clothing line with Ed Hardy designer, Christian Audigier, came to light.
When asked, Audigier explained that Michael had come to him with the possibility of creating a "chic" clothing line, far from the glitz and glamour of his infamous stage costumes. With jackets, t-shirts, socks, gloves and accessories all in the pipeline, the question still remains as to whether the clothing line will go ahead or not. Jackson didn't sign the contract before he died, however Audigier hopes to still release it. The 'Jackson Jacket' would have retailed at around $220, although stakes could now reach a possible $500, and what with numerous fashion tributes to the King of Pop himself, there is no doubt of the demand for it. Jackson fans, watch this space.

Find me a fashionista that wouldn't love to get their hands on the wardrobe of clothes horse Daphne Guinness. There's some good news and bad news. The bad news is that the muse is not in a rush to design her own collection yet, but the good news is that although you might not be be able to dress like Guinness, you can definitely smell like her.
Over the past few years she's been developing her scent based on her love of ‘woodsy and kind of jasmine-y, tuberose-y, sort of' scents.
Many were left questionning why Guiness opted to venture into fragrances rather than designing her own clothing line but the muse makes it clear that scents are her thing. ‘It's very difficult to describe in words. It's a mystery....Sometimes when you fall in love with people, you actually fall in love with their smell,' she told Grazia.

Sometimes, being the face of Maybelline can come in handy. Since the makeup giant has signed on to be the official cosmetics sponsor of Bryant Park for two years, Erin Wasson gets to go along to New York Fashion Week.
The model has been doing informal collections for her clothing line lately, but this could be a huge step for Alexander Wang's partner in crime. Will her latest collection, inspired by her pit bull, Cream, be a hit?

We got kind of excited yesterday when we thought 'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson was designing a clothing line to benefit UNICEF. It seems like another celeb gets the design bug every day, but it's not as often you hear about someone starting a project specifically for charity.
But unfortunately, that was one rumour that proved not to be true. A rep for the actress tells People that Watson will leave the designing to her fashion-industry friends.

Nicole Richie has officially ditched her reality TV and Paris Hilton's BFF past, as the girls from The Cut simply put it. After the success of her jewellery line for House of Harlow 1960, which sold out days after its release, Richie has decided to add clothing and shoes to the brand.
The collection will see her ditch her old 1970s boho look and instead, will focus "on old English, equestrian and more sophisticated looks".

Hermione Granger (fine, Emma Watson) could be getting her Karl Lagerfeld on pretty soon. The 'Harry Potter' star is rumoured to be launching her own fashion collection and is taking advice from her designer friends on how to make it work.
The proceeds of the line are said to be going to the charity UNICEF, so if this one's true, we hope the new Burberry model has sales through the roof.
