Jil Sanders' new +J Uniqlo collection hit stores yesterday morning, welcomed by a queue of Sander-enthusiasts trailing down Uniqlo's flasghip store in Oxford Street, all waiting to buy a taste of the minimalist German designer's legendary sharp cuts and sleek femininity. The first couple in the line had flown in especially from Scotland that morning, according to Grazia.
"There is no great difference between design in exclusive and in larger numbers, if you keep a close eye on the production," Sander said to The Times. "I like to reduce a piece of cloth to its essence. I am not interested in ornaments; to me, quality depends on the harmony of shape and materia;, on a truly modern design vision, and on the effort;ess beauty of the three-dimensional form."

Glasgow-born London-based Christopher Kane, who has only just celebrated his 27th birthday – has joined forces again with Versace for a new range of accessories that explore three main themes: diamond, moschettone and labyrinth.
The collaboration, resulting in a capsule collection of bags, shoes and jewels, designed by Kane for the Versace Versus re-launch, was announced by Donatella Versace during Milan Fashion Week.
“I am very happy about this collaboration with Christopher Kane,” said Donatella Versace. “Christopher is a highly creative young designer and his work impressed me from the very beginning. His rock ‘n’ roll style is very powerful, glamorous and sensual, perfectly in tune with the mood of Versus, which was always intended for young people who want clothes that project a personal style that is constantly evolving.”

Menswear designer Michael Bastian is pairing up with American sportswear label Gant. Bastian is all set to design a 50-piece capsule collection for men's A/W 2010 that will be revealed later this year in New York.
The collection of colourful, affordable and stylish wardrobe pieces will feature tailored clothing, outerwear, wovens, knits, jersey, trousers, denim and accessories. Bastian will take inspiration from Gant's archives and history, and mix it up with a little of his own modern take on American sportswear. We look forward to seeing it this winter.

Wang has developed a business acumen that could rival several leading figures in the business today. Each season, Wang ups the ante and continues to take his brand to the next level. Fresh off his diffusion collection with Gap and the introduction of his shoe line, Wang has expanded the brand to produce a range of leather goods including bags, shoes and clothing.

This morning at the collection's launch, customers lined around the corner of the chain's flagship store in Marble Arch all waiting to get their hands on pieces from the collection. According to Grazia, some customers had been waiting outside from as early as 7am.
If you want to buy a piece of Ditto's line, get there fast to avoid disappointment.

Or at least that's what it seems from his watercolour-grid prints for Resort 2010. Jonathan Saunders has just expanded his product range (to include scarves, t-shirts and knitwear), and with style references from Jackie O to Carrie Bradshaw, we see quite a few people being impressed.

"I wanted something natural, but I'm so fed up with florals," Christopher Kane tells Style.com about his first-ever pre-collection. "And then I came across these images of nuclear test explosions from the '50s to the '70s on the internet. I like the crazy-bright chemical colors. The way they're sinister — but beautiful."

It's too late Coachella has already come and gone. The more casual looks in Anna Sui's Resort 2010 collection would have been just perfect for listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in a field.
