Remember that Kim Carnes song, 'Bette Davis Eyes'? Well, this is kind of like that, except it's about Madonna and it more appropriately would be called 'Rose-Cut Diamond Eyes'.
For her 2009 Sticky & Sweet tour, the Material Girl's makeup artist, Shu Uemura Artistic Director Gina Brooke, has created an extra sparkly look by dusting the singer's eyes with white shadow and crushed diamonds. As if that wasn't enough, Brooke adds to her work with an additional two carats of diamond pieces on the brow bone. The total look was inspired by Madonna's hit 'Ray of Light', according to People.
"The resulting brightness and glow from Madonna's eyes captivate the audience and reinforces the fact that there are always new possibilities with makeup — and no rules," Brooke explains. We say: After watching 'Blood Diamond', we hope that diamond dust is cruelty-free!
