Yesterday, we reported that Scotland Yard are investigating Lindsay Lohan for a case involving the disappearance of £200,000 worth of missing Dior jewellery. The pieces disappeared after the actress' recent British ELLE cover shoot, and although diamonds are pricey, we can imagine someone noticed pretty quickly that a few important things were MIA.
Now, the magazine has released a statement with their opinion on the investigation.
This is all starting to get slightly disturbing and rather uncomfortable to write about. Lindsay Lohan has been going from drama to drama over the past few months (okay, maybe make that a year). Last year, scandal broke out when LiLo was accused of stealing an $11,000 mink coat at a private party. According to the coat's rightful owner, try waking up and talking on the phone only to open a magazine days after meeting the actress at a party, and seeing her in the same coat that has since gone walkies. And you thought it couldn't get any worse?
This morning, word has broke that Scotland Yard is apparently looking to speak to the 22-year-old actress in regards to £200,000 worth of Dior jewellery that apparently went missing at her British ELLE cover shoot last week.
The magazine waited two days to report it to the police, which is understandable considering the amount of press that the story will, and already is, attracting.
She has a strong personality. And she's British – I love the British. And the way she gives life to the character she is and everything she does ... it's really something. It's not just about being pretty and wearing clothes for her. Giving your personality like that to the art of fashion is something I couldn't do.

We don't think she'd get too much biking done in those shoes, but Marion Cotillard wore some daring Dior heels to help announce the Bike In Style Challenge Awards in New York. The actress joined Hilary Duff and Donna Karan in naming a few people who are helping make Manhattan greener.
Now this is something interesting. While the world's designers are fighting to get their clothes on the back of First Lady Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni Sarkozy, our Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown, is renting pieces from Graeme Black and picking up any pieces from Marks & Spencer that she can.
