Quote Me: Elizabeth Olsen Loves A Good Freebie

I can’t justify shopping because I'm like, ‘I got something like that for free, why would I spend money on it?’

Miu Miu Branches Out Into The World Of Couture

Graziadaily.com

Miu Miu is one label we've been obsessing over for some time now, and ever since we clapped our eyes on the romantic dresses and sparkly accessories Miuccia Prada sent down the runway for the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, we've fallen head over heels in love. Her off-beat, feminine, classic and sexy pieces (sometimes all rolled into one) have made us swoon, and we sometimes had dreamed that Miu Miu would one day venture into the magical world of couture. So when Grazia shared the exciting news that the label will be delivering a mini couture collection full of bespoke pieces to its stores in Milan, New York, London and Paris to coincide with Fashion Week, we knew it would be wrong of us not to share it with you.

In short, our label of the moment has created a selection of nude dresses in the vein of the mainline collection but using sparkly embroidery, eye-catching jewels and applique, which instantly take them from RTW to couture. Another must-have is the diaphanous, silk blouse adorned with a smattering of paillettes, which we are seriously coveting. The whole collection is going on our wish list!

Mark Fast Rolls Out 'Faster' Collection

Graziadaily.com

Mark Fast has gained himself legions of fans since he was hailed 'size hero,' following his use of fuller-figured models for his SS10 collection last September. And now, in a bid to make his designs more accessible to all, Mr Fast, has added to his 'Mark Fast' range with a new 'Faster' line. The new all-black range will feature his ubiquitous cobweb knitted dresses, tights, bandage style skirts, bodysuits and crop tops - with prices starting at £70 (for tights). And if that wasn't enough, as the name of the line suggests, the pieces will be produced faster, thanks to Fast swapping his London atelier for what Grazia Daily calls a state-of-the-art knitwear atelier in Italy.

Fronting the Faster campaign are two constrasting models - the gamine supermodel Anouck Lepere alongside the buxom and bootylicious Hayley Morley who is fast-becoming somewhat of a muse to Fast, ever since she opened his show last season, dressed in a grey figure-hugging knitted mini dress with multiple cut-outs.

Both beauties sport various pieces from the line, which proves that Fast's creations are genuinely designed to suit any shape or size and unlike some other designers, are fashioned to enhance character. We are seriousy loving the bodysuits, as did Lepere and Morley, so head here to peruse the collection, which is currently stocked exclusively at Browns Focus.

Has Prada Got A New Muse For 2010?

Carey Mulligan, up until last year, was relatively unknown. She had starred alongside the likes of Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in Public Enemies, and Natalie Portman in the Brothers, but really didn't make a splash until the realease of her last film. The success of An Education resulted in her name being on everyone's lips, and she has since become one to watch both for her acting and in the fashion stakes. We've been impressed with the petite screen siren's sense of style and love of abstract designs. And it wasn't until we read Grazia Daily's 'dossier' on her recent choice of outfits that we realised that the proof is in the Prada.

Giles Deacon Didn't Miss LFW This Season

This season saw some great British designers and brands come back to London Fashion Week to celebrate the event's 25th anniversary with Matthew Williamson and Burberry being two amongst many. Despite the comeback of these great brands, we couldn't help but feel the absense of Giles Deacon who left London this season to show his collection in Paris. Although, it appears that we might have missed him more than he's missed us.

When asked if he was disappointed that he wasn't in London during the festivities he told Grazia Daily: "No, not really because I was in Paris. The thing with fashion week is that we're always working. I heard there were some great shows though, and that it was a really buoyant event. I'm a big fan of Christopher [Kane]'s work and I think Roksanda [Ilincic] does some beautiful things. I also think Burberry put on a fantastic show getting that front row."
