Rumour: Katie Holmes Signs To Be The First Celebrity Face Of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

When we all started to saying that Katie Holmes was making a comeback after she appeared on the September issue of US ELLE, I don't think any of us quite appreciated how much of a comeback she had planned. First up was the news that she was taking her line, Holmes & Yang, to New York Fashion Week this season and yesterday, WWD reported that she's signed a deal to be the face of Bobbi Brown.

I must point out that the report is still a rumour and neither party has commented but if the claims are true, it's a pretty big gig for Holmes. While she's not a stranger to appearing in campaigns (think H. Stern, Ann Taylor and Miu Miu), this would be the first time that Brown has tapped a celebrity to front one of her campaigns. The move seems like a good one. Aside from the fact that the whole world is watching everything she does post-Tom Cruise, Katie does have a wide appeal especially with her with the young working mums demographic and besides, she's beautiful too.

Do you want the partnership to happen?

Katie Holmes' Presentation Will Not Conflict With Victoria Beckham's Show

Earlier on his month Katie Holmes confirmed that she is taking her line, Holmes & Yang, to New York fashion week. While the announcement did make it clear that the collection will be showed in a presentation format rather than a runway show, not much was said about the date but now we have more news.

Grazia originally reported that the actress would show on September 9, at the same time as Victoria Beckham but as the dramatic nature of the report suggests, it isn't true. British Vogue confirms that Holmes will actually show on September 12 between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m at the Lincoln Centre, meaning that she'll go head-to-head with Michael Kors whose show is set to begin at 10am.

Considering all the attention surrounding Holmes and the news that her line is going down a treat in stores since her split with Tom Cruise, I'm sure that buyers and editors will make the effort to go to the presentation even if that does mean dashing there before Kors' show starts.

Another Well-Timed Katie Holmes Cover Drops And Her Brand Is Selling Well Since Divorce News

US ELLE have had everything to smile about this month. Their August cover with Katie Holmes has probably been the most talked about cover this month since it dropped on the back of the announcement of the end of her marriage with Tom Cruise. Now, it's emerging that they aren't the only ones benefiting from the current interest in the actress.

California-based C magazine have just released their latest cover starring Holmes, which, according to WWD, was shot a week before the announcement was made and the interview took place only the day before. The editor of the magazine told the title that there were signs that all wasn't well. 'Homes was certainly very aware of herself, laying a couple of cards on the table but never showing her who hand' and 'most notably, the one name decisively absent from her lexicon: Tom Cruise. She never actually refers to him by name over pages and pages of transcription.' When Cruise was brought up when Katie was asked whether having Suri brought the pair together, she responded: 'I don't know. I mean...I don't know. People have been having babies a long time.'

Ever since the news broke, she's been everywhere. Not so long ago she shocked everyone by seeing through her commitment to make a guest appearance on Project Runway All Stars despite it taking place at the height of the media circus; and in the ELLE interview she revealed that she's taking her brand to New York Fashion Week. By the sounds of it, the attention has served her well. Today Barneys told Fox News that her label, Holmes & Yang, has been 'selling particularly well' in both their New York and Beverly Hills stores and that's only expected to increase.

The timing seems to go beyond being a pure coincidence. What do you think?

Katie Holmes Covers US ELLE's August Issue, Will Host A Presentation At New York Fashion Week

This past year has been an interesting one as celebrity magazine covers go. First up, we saw Marie Claire under pressure after Kim Kardashian announced her divorce before her cover and loved-up interview in the magazine had dropped. InStyle experienced the same thing shortly after with Heidi Klum and now US Elle is the latest joining the group. Luckily for them though, Katie Holmes' interview seems to hint that the split was was on the cards.

The New York post managed to get a hold of some snippets from the interview and one thing that instantly becomes clear is that she is definitely a new woman and was ready to start a new phase of her life. 'I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin...I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase.' Even more interestingly, when she was asked about what it's like to be Mrs. Tom Cruise, she said: 'He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that.'

Katie Holmes Is The New Face Of Ann Taylor

Katie Holmes is the new spokesperson for Ann Taylor and her campaign, shot by Tom Munro, was finally released this week but is set to hit magazines in the March issues.

Holmes enters a long line of celebrities that have graced the brand's campaign including Mila Jovovich, Naomi Watts and Heidi Klum and the deal marks her second big campaign. 2009 saw her appear as the face of Miu Miu's spring/summer campaign and that year she launched her clothing line Holmes & Yang with stylist Jeannie Yang.

Katie Holmes and Posh - Frenemies?

The friendship between Hollywood actress Katie Holmes and British singer-come designer, Victoria Beckham has taken an interesting turn this week, as Holmes' new fashion line, Holmes & Yang has been recently bought by high-end LA boutique, Maxfield. Victoria's denim line, dVb, however has been dropped from the boutique, reportedly because of "poor sales".

A representative for Victoria claimed that "Maxfield has not carried any dVb product for the past three seasons", although Maxfield wouldn't confirm how long ago the line had been dropped. After following in Victoria's footsteps, this latest revellation must have been disheartening for Posh, after her line had already been dropped by Kitson, Saks and Bendels. Lets hope that her main clothing line, Victoria Beckham, gets along a little better.

Katie Holmes Turns Clothing Designer

And yes, it includes pieces that will be perfect for Suri. Katie Holmes has been designing a collection with her stylist, Jeanne Yang, to be called Holmes & Yang. The actress/'So You Think You Can Dance' Broadway dancer is ready to reveal the "premium designer" line, according to WWD.

Holmes has been modelling teaser pieces from the collection for a few months, so we can't wait to see what she comes out with. And since Holmes & Yang is based around classic fare for women and children, that means she can coordinate her wardrobe with Suri.

The collection will debut exclusively at Los Angeles' Maxfield this autumn.
