'Lagerfeld is brilliant at Chanel. But have his other ventures run amok to the detriment of his creative genuis?' Robin Givhan wrote in a lengthy piece on the designer back in January for Newsweek. The article cost her her front row seat at Chanel but nonetheless, while I wouldn't say that his creative genius has been compromised it is fair to say that he has his fingers in several pies.
In recent months he has edited an issue of Metro newspaper, designed a collection for Net-A-Porter, created a limited edition make-up collection for Sephora and has most recently been promoting the Chanel 'Little Black Jacket' coffee table book. Now he's expanding into cosmetic even more by launchng a new make-up collection called iKonic. This time he's paired up with Shu Uemura to create a one-off holiday collection, which will hit stores in November. The collection features 17 pieces, which have all aready been shot for the campaign.
