Kelly Cutrone Has Two New TV Shows In The Works

Now that 'The City' has been cancelled, and now that Kelly Cutrone has said 'Kell on Earth' won't come back to Bravo for a second season, there's a gap in the market for Cutrone TV. Don't fear if you're a fan of the small screen's snarkiest fashion publicist. Although Cutrone told The Cut she's "done" with reality TV, she did say: "I’m doing a television show that I’m on that’s not scripted, but it’s not based on me running around and sharing my personal life in my office and in my home.” Confused? Us too.

She explained more about the show, which will run on MTV and reportedly have a pilot finished in January: “I think it’ll be me more working with young people who want to be in these different industries, so it might be something like, you know, you look like a fashionista but you’re not, you look like a skate dude but you’re not, you look like a hotshot entrepreneur but you’re not, maybe you should walk the walk. So it’s, like, part Great Santini, part fairy godmother.”

And since Cutrone is used to a two-show TV presence, she also revealed that she has a “syndicated daytime regular big thing” in talks. She remained vague on the details but did say that her book (If You Have to Cry Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You) had a large part in opening the next doors in her career.

If You Have To Cry, Go Outside: 'Kell On Earth' Premieres Tonight

Despite all the necessary preparations for fashion week, we're taking a break tonight to tune in to Bravo. Kelly Cutrone's new reality series, 'Kell on Earth,' premieres at 10 p.m. EST, and we expect the public-relations legend to be even more quotable than the 'Jersey Shore' kids. Tonight, the People's Revolution founder and previous advice guru for 'The Hills' and 'The City' cast members is set to deal with former prostitute Ashley Dupré. After Cutrone gave Dupré a front-row seat at Yigal Azrouël's fashion show last spring, Azrouël promptly fired Cutrone. Although she admits making a mistake, Cutrone invites Dupré to her office to talk. But when Dupré suggests crashing the upcoming Yigal Azrouël show, Cutrone is not amused, to say the least.

We can't wait to watch the drama unfold with someone described by the LA Times as "almost Kanye West-ian in her bluntness," and the good news is, we soon can add some of her brashness to our bookshelves. On Tuesday, Cutrone is releasing a book called If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You. We don't feel any tears coming yet, but we can't say the same for anyone who crosses Cutrone's path on 'Kell on Earth' tonight.
