Johnny Weir is known for his 'interesting' red carpet outfits and this look was a case in point. The figure skater wore these short shorts with a black tuxedo jacket and white shirt to Trevor Live: An Evening Benefiting the Trevor Project.
As much fun as the Winter Olympics can be (hello, Johnny Weir), we usually don't associate sporting events with fashion. Not so with Evan Lysacek, the first men's figure skater to take the gold for the US since Brian Boitano won in 1988. Vera Wang was responsible for his streamlined black costume, with a little sparkle courtesy of a Swarovski-encrusted serpentine collar.
After Wang held her runway show at New York Fashion Week last Tuesday, she jetted to Vancouver to see the Chicagoan face off with Evgeni Plushenko. She told WWD that both spectacles had something common. "Both were extremely stressful...and all in one day - show in the morning, short program at night!" she said.
