Beth Ditto is one of the few musicians out there that are refreshingly honest and candid, especially at a time where performers are increasingly media trained. When she commented on the whole Karl Lagerfeld-Adele issue a few weeks back, then, it came as no surprise. 'I come from a highly politicized, radically feminist, lesbian scene,' she told Vulture. 'So I can’t imagine not coming from a punk scene and adopting riot grrrl sensibilities. Not having that — can you imagine handling fame without that sort of mentality? Even navigating the world would be tough.'
The Gossip singer, who was in Cannes this week at the premiere of 'De Rouille et D'os', was also talking openly about that Evans collection that she did a few years back. 'I wish there was more confrol in that line, but there wasn't,' she revealed. 'I really wanted to do my own line that's ethically made, and I can do whatever the fuck I want with it.' But don't worry, she confirmed that she definitely sees design in her future. 'I want to make the IKEA of clothes for fat girls and boys,' she said. 'Cheap, affordable, basic - but ethically made.'

Karl Lagerfeld is a busy man. Aside from his duties at Chanel, Fendi and his namesake line, the last few months has seen him launch his capsule collection for Macy's as well as a cosmetics collection exclusively with Sephora but of course, it doesn't end there. On February 7 international newspaper Metro will had over the reigns of the publication to Kaiser Karl for the whole day.
Along with his famous illustrations, Lagerfeld will be sharing his views in what will undoubtedly be a series of priceless commentary in a feature called, 'The World According to Karl.' “I love daily papers and it’s fun to be part of one of them just for the day,” he told WWD. “Metro is on a worldwide scale and it’s even more fun.”
