William Tempest and Kate Moss Join Forces For Sports Relief

You all know that we are fans of Kate Moss and William Tempest so imagine out delight when news of them working together hit our inbox.The pair have joined forces in aid of Sports Relief. Tempest has designed a dress made of Mosquito nets for Moss to model to draw attention to the millions of Africans dying from malaria each year and to enoucrage people to purchase the nets.

“I was shocked to hear that one child dies from malaria in Africa every 30 seconds, " the designer told Grazia. "That’s why I was happy to be involved in this important project for Sport Relief.” Moss was quick to praise Tempest, saying the dress "which incorporates recycled malaria nets is absolutely gorgeous, I loved wearing it and working with William.”

According to Grazia Daily, the dress will be auctioned off to raise money at a later date

Kate Moss To Become A Prima Ballerina

Earlier this morning we reported on two models - Jessica Stam and Agyness Deyn - broadening their horizons by trying their hand at designing. Having already dappled in two successful design collections, firstly for Topshop and more recently for Longchamp, Kate Moss is adding to her fruitful list of talents, as Vogue reports the British supermodel is set to co-star in a ballet movie.

Moss is reportedly to star alongside Russian dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov, who whilst having an incredible dance career spanning some of the world's most famous ballet companies is more known in the fashion industry for his role as Carrie Bradshaw's boyfriend Aleksandr Petrovsky in SATC. Set to be shown at a fund-raising event and furthermore as a gallery installation, Moss needs to be "fit, healthy and looking good, so her late nights and heavy partying have to be reduced," a source told the Daily Mail. "I know that she is very happy to do that and has talked about wanting to get fit and healthy herself. It will be a movie made for them so she doesn't have to be a prima ballerina, even though she is having classes."

Daphne Guinness, Naomi Campbell And Kate Moss Attend McQueen Funeral

Daphne Guinness was one of a group of select friends allowed to attend Alexander McQueen's private funeral service, held yesterday at Saint Paul's Church in Knightsbridge, London. McQueen's father and five siblings were in attendance, and several family members wore the designer's tartans from his widely recalled "Highland Rape" collection from 2006, according to the Daily Mail.

Guinness chose an enormous cape from her friend Lee's Fall '02 collection for the services, which Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney, Kate Moss and Sam Taylor-Wood also attended. A wider-reaching memorial service will be held later in the year, according to a McQueen spokeswoman.

We know designers get a little out-there with their vision sometimes, and it's no doubt that some of them use colourful scenarios to prep their models for a turn down the runway. After all, if someone's going out like this, then they need to know why they're doing what they're doing.

When Grazia asked Kate Moss for her favourite fashion moment, she looked back to just such a situation with John Galliano. “John would stand on the runway and tell you a story about who you were," the supermodel remembered. "He’d say, ‘You’re a princess and you’ve just escaped from the castle and you’re running away from the wolves,’ and the wolves would be howling on the soundtrack, and he’d send you out, and he’d cry, ‘Run, Kate, Run!’” Yes, Kate, run. Hakaan Yildirim Takes On London Fashion Week

As London Fashion Week gets into full swing, there's one designer we expect will be reveling in his newfound success: Hakaan Yildirim. The Turkish native showed for the first time at London Fashion Week this season and seemed to wow the crowd. And judging by the nod Carine Roitfeld gave Lara Stone's outfit as she sashayed down the runway, it was clear that a new star designer had been born.

Despite being somewhat unknown until now, Hakaan is already building a celebrity client base. First, actress Rose Byrne sported one of his designs - a feathered, structured mini dress - to the premier of the third season of her hit show, 'Damages'. Then, Kate Moss popped up front-row at his show on Friday. It looks like Hakaan's feathered, fur and leather designs are here to stay, and we look forward to seeing what he has to offer in the future.

Hakaan Generates Buzz And Brings Carine Roitfeld To London

The buzz surrounding the Hakaan show had been mounting for the past few days, and there was no other place to be on Friday afternoon. Carine Roitfeld, Kate Moss and David Walliams graced the front row as high-calibre models like Natalia, Abbey Lee, Lara and Anja prepared to walk. This was clearly not to be missed. With such a build up, the Turkish designer certainly didn't disappoint.

The collection began with an off-white palette, composed of structured dresses with peak shoulders and peplums. There were stunning knit jumpers with feather edges before a luxurious fur jacket, complete with camel-coloured collar. Next came greys, navy and black, with woolen coats, sheer blouses and ribbed pants. The dresses had deconstructed straps with cut-out detail, creating powerful silhouettes. The finale black dresses progressed into fluid structure, as pleating and ruffles were manipulated to form beautiful detailing. As the show came to a close there was no doubt Hakaan is now a firm favourite this season and definitely should be for those to come.
