Kim Kardashian's Full Nick Knight-Lensed Shoot Is Out

The latest issue of V has been interesting. First up was that rather cringe worthy cover shoot with Nicole Kidman quickly followed by that topless shoot with Céline Dion and as I reported earlier, Kim Kardashian managed to bag a feature in their latest issue too.

As regular readers will know, I'm generally of the opinion that we can all afford to see a little less of Kim but the Nick Knight-lensed shoot isn't too bad. Rather than going the obvious sexed up look, the shoot is actually pretty beautiful and classic. My only wish is that the styling stuck to the feeling in the above image rather than the fur coat and billowy top looks that appear.

For the first time it looks Kimmy might have a little fashionista in her after all.

The First Image Of Kim Kardashian's Nick Knight-Shot V Shoot Is Out

Kim Kardashian may still be receieving the cold shoulder from hard core fashion folk but that that hasn't stopped her mission to penetrate (no inuendo intended) the fashion scene. Earlier on this month New York magazine revealed their fall fashion issue fronted by the reality star and she also bagged that big L'Uomo Vogue cover too and now the first image of that Nick Knight shoot for V has been released.

Knight took to Twitter to reveal the preview image from the shoot saying: 'The very lovely Kim Kardashian. Preview from the series of pictures I shot of Kim for SHOWstudio and V magazine.' Kim quickly resonded by retweeting the post with exclamation points. So, what with Kanye West restyling her, I sadly suspect that there's a lot more where that comes from. US Vogue still seems like a definite no but with West by her side, I'm sure fashion doors will begin to open for her and very quickly.

Kanye West Refrains From Putting Kim Kardashian In His Designs For Her Music Video Cameo

If you, like me, are getting exhausted of the constant Kimye talk (Daily Mail, I blame you), get ready for it to get a whole lot worse. With Kim Kardashian never more than a meter away from Kanye West these days, it was only a matter of time before she popped up in one his music videos and now it's here.

Yesterday Yeez's video for DJ Khaled's 'I Wish You Would' dropped and Kim makes a 9-second cameo in a hood during her shout out ('And I'll admit I had fell in love Kim).

The backdrop is dark so it's difficult to see what she's wearing besides a big black hood. Considering that she's been sporting a lot of his designs recently (including those $6,000 Giuseppe Zanotti heels), it's surprising that he didn't use the cameo as a way to plug the line. Or maybe he's clocked on to the fact that Kim and high fashion aren't necessarily the best bedfellows? Just putting that out there...

Kardashian Kollections Is Coming To A Dorothy Perkins Store Near You

If you happened to notice (and question why) Dorothy Perkins was trending on Twitter today, that's why. Today Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian confirmed that, from November, the high street store will be the first UK retailer to stock their line, Kardashian Kollections.

'We're looking forward to expanding our line and making Kardashian Kollection available to so many more people,' the trio told Grazia Daily. 'We pride ourselves in hvaing a line that is affordable and yet of great quality and we're excited to bring it to new territories.' According to a release, the offerings available at Dorothy Perkins will include clothing and handbags with footwear to follow in 2013 and will be available in 250 stores, as well as in concessions and online.

Another Month, Another Kardashian Product Category Launch

The one thing you can say about the Kardashian brood, it's that they're committed. Over the past few years they've been determined to cash in on in their name by ensuring that just about everything in your wardrobe is 'designed' by them. Well, that's if you're a fan of course. In the past few months alone they've announced the launch of a make-up line and a new jeans range targeted as plus size women and yesterday, they announced the launch of something else.

The threesome released this image from their new eyewear campaign, which will be sold exclusively in Sears. If you were wondering why they're all wearing those questionable lace pieces, there'a a good reason behind it as the campaign also showcases their new collection of lace body hugging dresses, which will be sold in the store too.

Kim Kardashian Doesn't Shift Magazines Anymore

For the last few years Kim Kardashian has been a major cover star. Her US Glamour cover last January was the magazine's best selling cover of the year, so rather unsurprisingly she landed more covers than anyone else for 2011 but it looks like things are changing.

This week WWD published a piece on the success of the various magazine's issues so far this year and Kimmy isn't doing too well. Her January cover with sisters Kourtney and Khloe was the magazine's worst seller and so was her March cover for Allure. But we shouldn't write her off too quickly. Both covers came around the same time as the backlash after the announcement of her divorce from Kris Humphries. Now she's mixing with fashion folk with Kanye West, I wouldn't be surprised if things went back to how they were.

Kimye Got People Pissy At The Stephane Rolland Couture Show

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made their couture show debut at the Stephane Rolland show earlier on today. While, it's true, fashions shows don't usually tend to start on time, the pair rubbed people up the wrong way by taking that a bit too far by turning up an hour late.

We're all used to editors and buyers turning up late but the hour delay didn't go down particularly well with guests at the show, especially editors trying to deal with the busy schedule of shows today. According to Red Carpet Fashion Awards' Katharine Kallon, the pair were so late that the show organisers were forced to start the show without them and WWD tweeted that the pair only managed to slip in and see the finale.

Kim Kardashian Covers British InStyle August 2012 Issue

Fresh off the back of her big L'Uomo Vogue cover, Kim Kardashian has landed the August cover of British InStyle magazine. As many of her other interviews have done, the accompanying editorial focuses on everything from the lessons learnt from her failed marriage to Kris Humphries as well as the obvious Kanye West topic.

Sadly, though, the cover and shoot are as predictable as the interview. Whether you're a fan of hers or not, there is no disputing that she has managed to carve a style for herself that works but the downside is that all of her shoots tend to look the same. The styling stuck to the fitted structured dresses that she's become known for and the cover didn't deviate from the wind in the hair 'schmize' expression either.

Kim Kardashian's L'Uomo Vogue July/August Cover Is Out

Back in May Franca Sozaani confirmed that Kim Kardashian would cover the July/August issue of L'Uomo Vogue, rather than Vogue Italia as many initially thought, and today the issue has finally dropped.

As previously reported, the black-and-white cover was shot by Sozzani's son, Francesco Carrozini in LA's Chinatown and styled by the magazine's fashion editor, Rushka Bergman. The editorial, titled 'Just Unconventional', is different from all of her past magazine shoots (and she uncannily looks lie her mother Kris) but still, I'm not convinced.

While the accompanying editorial begins by stating that 'everything has been said about her' already, it doesn't actually unearth any new ground. Saying that, the fact that Kim banned any talk of 'sex tapes, books, record, videos, films and above all marriages and divorces,' surely didn't help.

On her privileged beginnings and building her empire:

'Yes I was born rich; it was a classic Californian lineage: lavishness and ostentation, luxury mansions with pools, private clubs, exclusive friendships, and luxury cars. Despite the affluence, at only 31 I’ve been able to build my own empire in the world of entertainment and, although looks and friendships are important, I want the new generation to understand that if you don’t believe in yourself and in your own ideas, you go nowhere.'
