Nick Knight has been one busy photographer of late. Having collaborated with Alexander McQueen for his S/S '10 show at Paris Fashion Week (pre-show film, starring Raquel Zimmermann), hosting live photoshoots at Somerset House (including shooting Natalia VodIanova two weeks ago), which are running until December, the noted fashion photographer has now taken on a new project. He has been set to task to create a special video for Lady Gaga's forthcoming Monster Ball world tour.
The video is to be unveiled during the tour and will be leaning heavily towards the animalistic feel, judging by the information Michael Howells offered through the ShowStudio blog, where he confirmed that they were "ordering up a veritable menagerie of animals for the shoot..." We aren't really surprised though as we have come to love Lady Gaga for her over-the-top ensembles and generally 'off the wall' facade she projects to the public.
Lady Gaga has quickly developed a reputation for innovative music videos. Last week we brought you her highly anticipated 'Bad Romance' video with 'those' Alexander McQueen heels and now, as previously reported, we bring you the music video for her collaboration on the remix of Beyonce's 'Video Phone'.
After much anticipation and talk about 'those' Alexander McQueen heels and the fresh off the S/S10 runway looks, its finally here. Yesterday Lady Gaga's latest video, 'Bad Romance' was revealed.
In the latest video, the singer swaps her interest in Muppets outfits and instead pronounces that razors are the way forward. Yes, razors:
"I wanted to design a pair for some of the toughest chicks and some of my girlfriends — don't do this at home! — they used to keep razor blades in the side of their mouths," she told The Cut. "That tough female spirit is something that I want to project. It's meant to be, 'This is my shield, this is my weapon, this is my inner sense of fame, this is my monster.'"
She is Gaga, hear her roar. The esteemed Nick Knight has revealed, via Showstudio, that he'll reate a special video piece for Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta's upcoming tour. The video will have an animalistic vibe, and the Showstudio blog reported that Michael Howells is "ordering up a veritable menagerie of animals for the shoot, scheduled for this weekend!"
Showstudio have concocted videos for Gareth Pugh's runway presentations, and, knowing firsthand the vibe at those things, we expect something at rock-your-socks level from this one.
