If there's one designer collaboration with the high street that we've been excited for, it's Marni for H&M. In the wake of the launch of the collection on March 8, the retailer and Marni designer Consuelo Catiglioni played host to a big party last night in Los Angeles to celebrate.
"It has been an inspiring night, surrounded by a perfect setting and a great crowd. L.A. encapsulated the dream," Catiglioni explained. "It is not long before Marni at H&M is in stores and I am happy to share these magical moments with everybody." Celebrating the experience with the team were stars like Drew Barrymoore, Jessica Chastain and Milla Jovoovich and collaborator, Sophia Coppola. "it"s nice to see again the people I worked with on the project for Marni and H&M," Coppola said at the event. "I just tried to do something that fitted with the mood of the collection, the fantasy and the fun of fashion."
Yeah, yeah, we know Lollapalooza is more about the music than the fashion - but the two are supposed to go together, right? Santigoldand Lykke Li both took to the stage in Chicago this weekend wearing their festival best.
Lykke Li posed at the All Points West festival on Sunday wearing leggings, a black tunic and a mega ring. She looks pretty comfortable with those bare feet.
... Happens to be Brooke Nipar, whom we rediscovered thanks to TrendLand. The former chief photographer for Missbehave (R.I.P.), and a regular for alt-mags like Nylon, Nipar gets creative with colour and light but manages to hit home with members of the street-style-blog generation. She's photographed M.I.A., Lykke Li and Miss Amy Winehouse herself, and we've compiled a set of her best shots. Enjoy.
